It's nice and sturdy, and far better than the original seat that came with the toilet. It was easy to fit with good Instructions. It fits my toilet perfectly, (but please check your toilet with the measurements given in their description). It's soft close action is amazingly good for the price. I love the quick release buttons for cleaning underneath it. And I love the fact that the fittings are all fixable from above. To get the old one off, I had to do a 2 day (pre removal) contortionist course with Houdini's flexibility coach. A brilliant purchase / upgrade for the price. Review: Easy installation - I was quite impressed with the quality of the toilet seat, it feels well made and like it will last. It is heavier than my original toilet seat but the soft close function still works well and while it was a little larger than my old toilet seat it still fits well. The fitting was nice and simple and once fitted can be easily removed with the push of 2 buttons to aid cleaning. The only drawback is the actual fittings don't feel as substantial as my original fittings however I don't think this will pose any issues and the seat once installed feels sturdy and stable and has no movement in it. While the seat isn't the cheapest available, I think the price is about right for the quality of the item and I would buy again if I need another one in the future. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy and durable *by R***I on 20 September 2024* When I ordered this product I did size the toilet and the seat does run slightly small or my measuring skills need work, my advice would be to measure the inner edge of the toilet seat not the outer edge, but the toilet seat itself is nice and sturdy, not as thick as some £40 toilet seats like my old one but it doesn’t stain just by looking at it, easy to install and for the price an absolute bargain, I have noticed no staining at all and very easy to clean. The soft close does work but the top lid almost gets stuck half way down so you have to push it down to save time before the flush to keep the germs in, but I would say that is the only minor negative and may get better with more use.
