The best story yet in the Valentine Valley romantic series!
'Sleigh Bells in Valentine Valley' by Emma Cane is the 6th Valentine Valley novel or novella. I recommend this series be read in order, starting with 'A Town Called Valentine: A Valentine Valley Novel'. Each book can be read as a stand alone, but as there are many recurring characters, you will understand and appreciate the series better if read in order. This is a wonderful romantic series that I highly recommend. I anxiously await the next book each time I finish the latest one! However, the latest, 'Sleigh Bells in Valentine Valley' is perhaps the best so far in a series of great stories.Tony and Kate have loved each other since they were 10 years old. They have been lovers since they were juniors in high school. They were madly in love and had the hottest sex anyone could ever imagine! Kate was going to law school and Tony to another nearby college. Kate did not know that antibiotics can sometimes negate the effectiveness of birth control pills. The result was a son, Ethan, who is now 14. They married for a few years, but a total lack of communication and conflicting work schedules and goals drove them to divorce. Since they never talked things out, both were deeply wounded. They remained civil for Ethan's sake during the 9 years since their divorce.Ethan lives with Tony during the week in Valentine, and spends weekends in Vail with Kate. They do the very best with Ethan they can be as separated parents. A misunderstanding with her law partners, lands Kate back home a few days before Thanksgiving for a couple of months.Kate and Tony, as the story develops, separately come to realize they always have and still love each other. But they refuse to risk being hurt again. They are still so physically attracted they decide to just have mind blowing sex, but not get involved emotionally (yeah!) since Kate plans to go back to Vail at the end of her "sabbatical".Will Kate go back to Vail? Will she heal her friendship with her best friend? Will Ethan prevent his parents from acting on their undying love for each other or will some holiday miracles of a sort, reunite them in the end?(Be sure to read the last chapter very CAREFULLY. Do not skim anything!)

Totally awesome!!!!
Wow, I loved Tony and Kate's story. They ha known each other since childhood then married young because Kate got pregnant. Between work, school and a baby plus poor communicationThey divorced. They worked out a good plan between then with their son Ethan. Nine years later Kate comes back to Valentine Valley for a couple months due to some issues at work. Seeing Tony and Ethan daily dug up feeling that she thought had long been buried. They both felt the attraction and agreed to a ex-sex relationship without anything more. As always I love it when it all comes together so you have to read. I totally love this series. Can't wait for the next one.

Loved it
I really loved this story!! Town pub owner Tony DeLuca never thought he would live in the same city as his ex until she shows up in Valentine. When they divorced eight years ago his heart was in shreds but he's over her now. At least he thinks he is.......This is a great addition to the series and I highly recommend it to everyone!

Tony and Kate
I choose this because I like Emma Canes writing. Her stories are about every day people doing ordinary things. Thanks!!

It was a pretty good book
It was a pretty good book. At first I was not sure that I would even finish the book but I am very close to doing just that. The characters are quite good. I don't think that this book is the first in the series but I do not know what book is. I have to be honest that if I went back to do it over again I may not have bought the book eventhough it is a great book.

I enjoyed the interactions of the two main characters
I enjoyed the interactions of the two main characters. It was unusual for ex's to be still attracted to one another and circumstances seemed to keep them running into each other making them more emotionally attractive and desirable.

Good Read
Really liked the story line. Did not like Kate too much in the beginning, but doubt that I was Suppose to. Loved Tony from the previous stories in this series. Loved him even more as his story was told. Looking forward to the next book from Valentine Valley.
