It's always put out good sound that's definitely noticeable as I've had to use ...
I guess one of the most important traits of a product is a company that stands by it. YourTech has had to send me three different replacements over the past year that I owned the first-gen EQ1000... but every time they did so without any problem. The most recent replacement was the Gen-2 model ( http://amazon.rkstar.com/B00O77IWSE ), which I've had for a week so far with no issue. They assured me that the problems from the first-gen were fixed now. I don't see much difference other than it being black and slightly more curved. It's always put out good sound that's definitely noticeable as I've had to use cheaper temporary (or even Apple) headphones while waiting for the next replacement to come. The EQ1000 definitely sounds better than the others. I like that it comes with three different plugs so you can change the size to best match your ear. The new model is more rounded, though I wish it was even more because I could see it bothering my ear if I had them in my ear for over an hour (which I haven't done yet). My other complaints are minor. I would rather the connection come out at a 90-degree angle to put less stress on the plug. I wish the controls for the play/volume rocked in the indentation like they do on the Apple headphones... those are a lot easier to control in a split second when someone starts talking to you or something... where it takes 2-3 seconds for me to find the right place to push on these. The noise-cancellation is pretty good... the ambient sound is definitely much quieter using these when compared to Apple's (another reason it's important to be able to pause quickly... when I used Apple's headphones, I could usually still hear people while music is playing... not with these). Overall, I like them as long as they work, and as long as they keep up the great customer support, they'll keep working for a while.

Beware (Updated Twice)
I bought these on July 30, 2015. It is now January 19, 2016 and not only has the remote stopped working today but so has the left earbud. Honestly, its disappointing considering that i take good care of my earphones. I roll it up nicely before putting them in my bag and I dont thrash them around when they get a bit knotted up. I really loved these earphones, but after 5 months and they're not working, sorry thats not something i want to buy again.*UPDATE* 1/21/16- YourTech saw my negative review and contacted me only a few days later saying they were sorry for the inconvenience and that they are sending me a pair of the updated version. So I will update this review again once I receive them and try them out.*UPDATE* 9/8/16- after having the new set they sent me for about 8 months of regular use and not beating them up, they started giving me alot of static from normal use. Now, I thought it may be my phone, but after testing it out on multiple different headsets and not being able to replicate the issue, it seems obvious that it was these earbuds. When they worked they were great and I loved them, but this is the second pair I got (they sent the second pair for free with a couple of other goodies) that stopped working. The products still need a but if work but their customer service it's top notch and if they can figure out the kinks everyone should give them a try.On another note, they look like just the day I bought them and physically they look brand new.

Way over-rated here! Sound is only fair and uncomfortable, but should be durable.
I got the YourTech EQ1000 in ear headphones based on the reviews here. Unfortunately I am do not foresee using them to any degree. These seem durable, but the cables are very stiff, making wearing them inconvenient/ unpleasant for me. I have small ear canals and could not get these to be comfortable. These may be for you if durability and iPhone headset usage are your goals and sound quality is secondary. I am not hard on equipment, so the durability is not a deciding factor for me.The sound is fair at best, they sound similar to a pair of Phillips my husband got at Costco at 2 for $10, and those are as well made plus more comfortable, but without the microphone. The stock Samsung earphones that came with my husband's android phone are more comfortable, easier to wear, and sound better. What am I using now - my older set of Sennheiser's (I now appreciate how good they sound) without a microphone or a pair of midrange centric, high clarity, wonderful sounding Ultimate Ears UE600 with their very fragile cables reinforced.I could have thought these had good sound if I hadn't compared with 5 other sets of earphones. The overly positive reviews here show a danger with Amazon reviews, it seems likely several reviewers here have a limited background with in ear headphones and value durability first.

Remote stopped working within two months
I bought these on May 26th, and By the middle of July, the remote on the headphones stopped working. I can't answer calls, pause my music, or do anything. That's really disappointing because these are the main reason I bought these headphones. I didn't want to go back to the Apple headphones but after these, I might; at least they lasted a year or so before they stopped working.Update on July 24- YourTech reached out to me and replaced my headphones for free, and gave me a few other gifts. This was done very quickly and the customer service was great. I just hope this pair of headphones last longer than the ones I originally bought.
