I purchased this saw on December 2018 and it arrived in January 2019. I opened the box and put the blade on... It was very straightforward. Mine came with a sharpening file, a screwdriver to adjust the carburator, socket wrench for the spark plug and to remove / tighten the blade, allen wrench to open up the saw, and many other parts. All of which I was very happy about. The instruction manual is readable but very obvious that at some point in the past was photocopied several times. I did not actually use the saw and put oil / gas into it until August 2021.The manual recommends a 20:1 oil mixture for the first 20 hours of usage and then 25:1. Both of these ratios are not standard (such as 40:1) so you'll have to make your own oil mix. After I popped the fresh fuel/ oil mix and loaded the bar / chain oil I tried to start it up. Sadly I could not get it started.Thank you YouTube:. I searched and found great articles on adjusting the carburator and with the help of the manual, I figured out what to do. It did take me a while to realize that the manual had the High / Low carb screws reversed, so I was playing with the High screw when I thought it was the Low screw. Once I figured that out and I set the screws to the factory recommended settings, the chainsaw started on the first pull and idles beautifully.I've made 45 logs (24" to 8" logs) and it cut through them like butter!I'd actually give this saw a 5 star rating of it wasn't for me needing to reset the carb screws.

For the price it can't be beat. More than paid for itself. The choke is not an issue with me as it is old school. Just make sure fuel is not lest in it for any length of time. Bar chain oil does leave puddle when stored.

One of the best engines in a long time, while as it reminds me of the old Homelite chainsaws, but the 22" is not that light by necessity. It cranks consistently with 2 pulls. Now that was the good. The Bad? The chain that comes with it and the replacement chains suck. Knocked a tooth off the very first cut. I bought a 22" Stihl chain and that part is now fine, except; the Bad: After less that 3 minutes the chain becomes loose and a dangerous hazard if not noticed. It doesn't matter if the Jolly Green Giant torques it down.... it still loosens up to the point that you can stick four fingers between the chain and bar. If this flaw could be fixed then I would sing the praises of how powerful this saw is. When the chain is tight it will cut thru even the largest tree with ease, that is if you stop twice to re-tighten the chain. I love the hefr, and the power, but not a fan of chain or bar. So really, a mixed review

This was a item that someone else had returned, I got it for 50 bucks . One of the post that holds the bar on was bent, took a pair of vise grips and straightened it. Runs like a champ

why am I paying postage for a product that doesn't start? 38.80 to return this junk this is not good business

"This chain saw only lasted 3 days, poorly made chain saw,oil ratio is to high!!! Do not waste your money,u will be sorry!!!! Chain dulls real quick, burns gas up to fast
