Cheap pieces of junk!
I ordered these for me and my girlfriend because we are both active hikers and we wanted to try out some Winter hiking. As far as functionality goes they do prevent you from slipping on ice, However, after our 1st hike in Winter/wet conditions I packed these up and Intended to dry them out as soon as I got home which was about 45 minute commute, by the time I got Home a majority of the cleats had rusted over which you can see in my pictures. Secondly, either I was accidentally shipped two right footed pads or the manufacturer only creates one type where the Velcro pulls from the right side of the foot to the left. My left one was constantly sliding up the side of my hiking boot and had to be adjusted almost constantly. Lastly, I only used these for one Winter season and several of the cleats came out. At the time of ordering there were no reviews so I figured why not , I was also looking for something cheap since this was my 1st time ordering ice cleats Alas, you've probably all heard the saying you get what you pay for.

Lost half the spikes in the first few days, and one completely broke right after the return period ended.

Rusted after first use: Seller harassment
** This seller somehow got my email address and has sent me several harrasing emails trying to bribe me to remove this review!!! I've contacted Amazon and they've been no help; emails still coming. This is frightening. Be vary wary of this seller!! Had high hopes for these as they are lightweight and relatively easy to put on, once I figured out that toe and heel straps were just cut outs and not actual straps. That makes me wonder how many times those 'straps' will stretch without breaking as the connection at some areas is really thin. Main issue is with spikes. They rusted badly after only one use. That's a deal breaker since I need something for traction on snow and ice; you know- wet stuff. These will be returned.

Worked well
We got these for my 8-year-old daughter to use as most other crampons fall off of her shoes. She hasn't used them extensively yet but has taken them up for some very icy Alaska mountain hikes and they worked good. If they hold up for the winter we will get a pair for my son next winter.
