Know what you're doing and these hydraulic shocks will do the job!
The media could not be loaded. When buying hydraulic struts, its important to know how to calculate the amount of force needed, how the shock will be used, what angles they will be moving at, etc... Otherwise you'll end up like some people on these reviews who get confused and angry about struts not working or bending them because they incorrectly install them.So with that being said, do your research! these struts are described well and if you know what you're doing, they will be a great addition to your project! (also I've learned that installing the piston rod lower than the gas cylinder allows for better lubrication, a smoother 'end of travel dampening' and a longer lifetime of a shock strut. In my video I've got them upside down, so ill probably flip them around.)Cheers!

Doesn’t come with Ball ends.
Why would this not come with the ball end? It’s an essential part to the hydraulics. You figure they would just send the extra parts regardless.

Perfect strength and fit
I used this pair to lift a 40lb top swinging door. At the hinge point to the strut pivot mount the calculated downward weight of the door is 120lbs. These struts have a hold load of 180lbs together and held it easily yet only need 5lbs of downward force at the end of the door to close it. So they are holding the door up with 60lbs to spare but only need 5lbs of strength at the end of the door to close. Effortless! As long as you understand lever strength and calculate your project, these struts are exactly spec'd out as advertised. Online calculators are out there to help you with the math too. Good luck!

Weight is not correct.
I purchased these and they claim to be 80lbs.I weigh 220lbs and it took my body weight to get these to close.
