Knit the Nativity Paperback – August 1, 2012

Fun idea and really doable. I decided to knit a couple of the figures each year as gifts so eventually my family and I will all have the whole set and I could spread out the fun over a couple of years. Turning into a holiday tradition. And searching out the different materials has turned into a treat in of itself.Don't get me wrong, just because the work is small, it still needs patience. But if you take your time, it is fun. Little hands are a plus here and really little hands can help out too.

Very nice nativity figures and more finely crafted than some other ones I've seen. I like the number of figures too. The animals that had cardboard supports could have been a little more refined.

Love the ability to make a unique Nativity. Pattern is fairly easy to follow. One figure's pattern was missing some text, so it was necessary to try to fill in the blanks.

I was disappointed that the figures are designed to have cardboard inside them. I need figures that are not so fragile and more small children proof, so I'll modify. as I go for more "robust" figures.

This is a nice addition yo my collection. I have all kinds of medias for my collection, each one as different as the next.

Not what I expected. You have to use cardboard to make forms... I wanted a knit only book and thought the items would be stuffed once done not use cardboard.

Excellent patterns. Looking forward to knitting them all.

More of a CRAFT book than a Knitters Book. Very fiddly - not what my elderly Mother In Law wanted as it was more craft than Knitting. The Sirdar book was better for her.

I bought this book so that I could knit a posada for my church, I am so delighted with the figures that I am now knitting a set for myself at home, the figures are delightful and have been much admired, if you use strong card the figures can be handled by even quite small children. I would recommend this book to any knitter who enjoys making something different.
