Potty trained three year old twin boys
Okay so I wanted to write this as close to real time as possible- it's day 4. First off to those about to do this good luck- it's going to be a long, dreadful three days. We've been "training" my twin boys in and off since they were two. One of our sons had some motor delay so really wasn't able to get his pants on and off until he was two and a half and at that point I was pretty pregnant with our third child (yes we did this with a newborn at home) So- because we were late to the game, because my boys can be pretty stubborn and because there was a baby at home I didn't have high expectations but decided to try this product. The CD is hugely helpful to get you started and very encouraging. My boys loved the watches and we used them to do the several day gear up to actually getting rid of diapers. The down side is they don't have an interval lower than 30 minutes and you'll be using intervals of 15-20 to start. Day 1- chaos...almost all accidents. Day 2- one of my son's seems to be getting it- he stops himself from going and makes animated help me sounds, his brother is no closer. Day 3-okay honestly by day 3 I wanted to give up, but then something happens about half way through. My oldest tells m he has to potty- twice before the day is done. His brother goes once alerting us by doing the pee-pee dance. Day 4- off to daycare. Only one accident each- and my oldest even pooped. We had the odds stacked against us and I'm feeling pretty great that this worked for us. I highly recommend giving it a try. All you have to lose is three days :-)Update: 1 month later and we're doing great!

amazing amazing amazing kit!!!! Totally worked!!
Okay so... we are on technically day 5 of potty training, after using the 3 day method, and he has gone 2 days without an accident, yesterday I could tell it Had clicked, and he was letting me know he has to go, rather than me telling himTo go sit every 20 mins, we even ran errands today for an hour, no pee in the car, and took a 2 hr nap, and woke up dry!My son didn't care for the potty watch so much and wasn't into wearing it, but the potty chart and journal were so helpful!!! He was so excited to get a sticker, one for pee and two for poo! The journal was great because I could see patterns, how often he was going, how many accidents, etc.The best thing in the entire kit was the CD, it was immensely helpful, and just gives you great advice, I cannot say enough good things about it!!!

Great customer service-DVD excludes key topics
The customer service was excellent-though I did not take advantage of emailing them questions beforehand and regretted this after our failed 2nd attempt. As with any new skill, consistency is Key, and as when training a dog to listen, make sure you assert your authority when you phrase your commands, and the tone in your delivery. These are the two main themes in the advice given in this kit. This is a decent intro kit but the watch/timer it came with didn't match the time intervals suggested in the DVD which was annoying; timer has 30/60/90minute intervals while the DVD advises doing 5 min on the potty every 20 minutes, 15 if you have an accident. The DVD has ok advice but didn't discuss a few key things for me:1. How to best re-introduce the potty to a kid who had refused/regressed earlier. I really needed strategies for this...and more ideas on how to keep it fun2. They made me feel a bit guilty my 3 year old wasnt already trained, then assured me it was ok and would take a bit longer, not specifying about how much longer it would take - I'm sure other parents resorting to a kit are in my same shoes and would like a bit more detail in this area. Planning to take work off for a month isn't an option for me, but I'd like a ballpark so I can attempt to plan a course of action.3. They also didnt discuss how best to handle it when you go back to work fulltime while your kid goes back to school/daycare. Thats an important transition to not discuss.4. There also was no description of possible impaction which is what ended up happening with our little one. We had to stop all potty-talk to get him to stop stool-holding as he was in a power struggle with us and just held it in to avoid it altogether for nearly 4 days!Joanne and Greg, I really appreciate what you're trying to do here, so please make a mention of this so no other kids/parents have to suffer and know what to do to avoid/take care of this behavior. I hope no one has to deal with this and if they do, they catch it early. about this here to avoid it and get more tips on potty training: [...]I didn't end up using the charts/stickers or the certificate as they did not motivate my son at all or help me... So really I paid for an Audio- DVD (that I listened to 4 times prior to our go-live date before I felt confident with the rhythm/plan) and a timer that I had to use in conjunction with a kitchen timer to make sure we were on target with what the DVD suggested. Would be nice if they included a cliff-notes list of the advice they give so I could refer to it as well. Not a waste of money, but didnt quite live up to my expectations either :/ Read more

I wanted to love the potty watch, but stopped working by day 5
Bought the potty watch for my daughter who is potty training. We love the watch but there are a few downsides.1. It is not water proof or even water resistant, which is kinda of crazy seeing as they will wash their hands. The logo came off the watch by day 2.2. The watch is not very smart, meaning that you have to manually turn it off at night and back on in the morning or it will go off all night.3. By day 5 the alarm stopped working all together. Sad since the price is very high for a child's watch. We loved the charts and stickers, but are disappointed that it did not last even a month. We ended up purchasing the Athena futures watch which is water proof in hope of better quality. Still disappointed with the lack of quality and I am one that reads reviews, so the fact that it malfunctioned so quickly is shocking.
