I gave this book a 5 star rating , because it was so heart warming and the story and setup are just beautiful. I highly recommend this book for all the young surfers or anyone that wants a funny, sad , and inspirational story this book is great. The author makes u feel as if you are really there in the set. This book follows the movie verbatim. Cannot tell which came first. Was hoping to read insights not portrayed in movie (which I saw before reading the book). This however does not detract from the incredible story and life/accomplishments of Jay and Frosty. I am a 47yo landlocked Texan who has taken up surfing, inspired by Jay.

I love this book, but then I love surfing and live in the area where this book took place. It is exactly what it says, it follows the movie pretty much to the T. So if you are looking for a more in depth look at Jay and his life this is not the book for you.

I AM ADDICTED TO THIS BOOK AND MOVIE I OWN THE MOVIE AND THE BOOK IT IS MY FAVOURITE BOOK AND MOVIE TIED WITH THE HUNGER GAMES SERIES. Shipping was as scheduled and book has some signs of use while is was supposed to be new.

Very well written - I saw the movie and read this book and have to say the book is much better. The story line keeps you interested from start to finish. Not just a "surfing" book, this is a great read

Inspiration uptaped I think, just a beautifula nd respectively written account of a beautiful life, easy to read so much information, yet given in a story that does everything to inspire and nurture any wild spirit
