Q: What is the backing of the coaster

It is a foam backing, to stop any scratching of surfaces. I have used them for small cross stitch and look a lot more professional than plastic ones I have had previously from craft store. Hope this helps

Q: When or were can i add picture

The self adhesive foam pad on the back of the coaster lifts up & has a backing which you simply peel away once you have put your picture in place . It is very quick ,easy &effective but you cannot then change to another picture.

Q: I wish to send this item to Michigan C/W photographs inserted, are the coasters in a box and are the strong enough for the trip via post ?

Yes they came in a square box the same size as the frame but you will need to add extra packing , like bubble wrap to the outside and maybe between each coaster.The glass is is about 3cm thick and has a rubber backing so that will add a bit more protection for shipping.it is a lovely gift for any age.
