Moments of Disarray: An Alex Kennedy Story

**POSSIBLE SPOILERS*** You must of read the other books tooI'm sitting here waiting for my toe nail polish to dry and it's a sassy pink and it reminds me of how I feel about Alex Kennedy, this is a guy who would be anything with anyone. We are talking about a man who can be dead sexy in Hello Kitty PJ bottoms. A man who can turn heads, hearts and body parts into gush.I've loved Alex since he first appeared in Tempted, I almost died and went to heaven when I found out there was Everything Changes a short piece and then Naked came out and I just tossed everything down to read it. I HAD TO KNOW what was he up to and where did he go??? We also get a peek at him in Vanilla - Megan you are a true tease!After Tempted I cried (Megan Hart I love that you make a story that makes me feel it and the characters) I was not upset that the ending didn't go all white picket fence and la la la. I knew in real life and even fiction there isn't always that cushion to catch the reader and give you all warm fuzzes and hey I am okay with that because I want the story the author has in their head and heart.Oh so back to Moments of Disarray. I have to say the story started out with a huge WOW factor. I had thought I saw all the sides of Alex but I had missed part of him. First off the one thing that is mentioned in the book and I will iterate is that Alex is gay. Deep down he is. I still love you Alex.As the story opens Alex meets up with a guy named Luke who reminds me of Duke Nukem and I really never found Duke that hot or interesting. Luke really wasnt anyone I would of pictured with Alex but then Alex and I don't have the same taste in men obviously since his menage with Jamie and his wife from Tempted I had different expectations. I wanted to not like Luke because I was like oh hell no this guy isn't Jamie but then you know this opens after Tempted and Alex is fighting hard to find that place to go with the all the emotions he was carrying after Jamie and Anne. He is worried he lost his best friend Jamie. He knows he hurt Anne too. He is in denial of being able to do the right thing because he freely admits he loved Anne but Jamie was more to him.Luke and Alex have a one nighter and of course the next day it changes into maybe it wasn't a one night thing but it also feels one sided. Luke seems to want something from Alex and Alex just wants to be Alex. Love and leave. Moving on...But Alex ends up spending more time with Luke. They have a kind of date day but more on friend level until they are alone in again in private later. The sex between them is intense and very erotic but it is not love. Luke is hiding a secret of his own and battling to find himself. Alex is fresh from his own three some disaster he created with a little push from Jamie but Luke is starting to grow on him when suddenly he finds out Luke isn't exactly the person he first thought he was. Jamie has begun to blow up Alex's phone each time they are together. Alex at first sends out his "it's none of your business attitude" to Luke until finally they start sharing more of their lives and Luke's secret suddenly comes out. Alex finally has to come face to face with who he really is as well.Will Alex figure it all out and where is this thing going with Luke? Oh I can't tell you my lips are sealed. This story definitely had to be written and you have to know what really happened after Alex walked away from his best friend and his wife, the only woman he loved.Psst the ending will leave you ready to run for Naked.Megan thank you for letting me read this for an honest review. I loved it, I almost hated Luke but now I think he deserves a story -- maybe "wink"Please read the previous books first because to me this is not a stand alone and you dont want to miss a moment of Alex Kennedy. Alex you are my boo, it felt so good to hear more about you.

Alex Kennedy is one of my favorite book characters. Megan's writing makes him seem so very real that I feel like I could run into him on the street or at a party. Actually, every Megan Hart novel I've read evokes a reality that makes the reader feel the events in her books truly happened.This novella is best read after "Tempted." It's told in Alex's point of view. And the relationship he left behind, his emotions, his coping mechanisms -- are every bit as intense in Moments of Disarray as they are in Tempted. The ache and the hurt and the love continue as Alex shares his recollections and attempts to move on.Megan understands these characters deeply, and it makes the writing shine. I hope she will eventually share more of Anne and Alex and Jamie with her readers!

Not sure what to say--Alex turns his hurt into much promisucious behavior, drinking and heavy partying.We see a brief glimpse of James and Anne.This book is probably pretty close to how men heal after an emotional crisis.I would call this a short novella.Alex is still searching..The End

I enjoyed this novella because I am hooked on Alex Kennedy and will read anything with him in the story. Alex is such a troubled soul, and although he can act like a jerk there is an inner goodness to him that attracts me. This filled in some background and showed both sides of his personality. To really appreciate this story you need to have read the book Temped.

Love the author...I have several of her books. Glad to have this sequel to Alex Kennedy's story.

Alex is my favorite all around alpha male. I like the book ,but I would like a short story like(everything change) to know what happen to him an Olivia. I loved Naked. Please

Fun light read, perfect for a day at the beach or pool

I first met Alex in Tempted and thought wow he is such a rogue . He is good looking and has a devil may care attitude . I really just thought of him as a player . He sure pulled it off . But I must say we find a different Alex in the story. He is on a self destruction course trying to wipe out the one thing he shouldn't of done . Fall in love with his best friends wife . Will he ever put the past behind him and will he find love again.I absolutely adore the characters in this book . Alex is such a complex man . One min you want to kick his back side and the next min you are wanting to take him to bed . He is so broken in this book . He is trying to mask the pain with everything and anything he can. As we see him go through the pain he starts to grow . After finding Luke and the one night stand that didn't stop . Alex grows up just a little . I really liked Luke he seemed to be a calming influence on him at times. He was there for Alex when it seemed Alex needed him . But he is also struggling with a few things about himself and his feelings . He is a sweet guy a confused guy but a sweet guy . Jamie and his wife also make an appearance in the book which just makes everything more uncomfortable . You will want to hug everyone and make sure everything will be okThe author took us on such an emotional roller coaster ride . She basically puts us through the ringer along with her characters . You will want to strangle Alex in one breath and in the next breath you are wanting to love him up good . I love the authors writing style , it isn't flowery and long winded . She direct and to the point about where she is taking her characters . This is not a stand alone book you should really read Tempted and Everything changes so can get more of the story . I will tell you they will blow your socks off and you will not want to put them down .
