Perfect for Dirty Hand Tools 22 ton log splitter!
Fast shipping, excellent customer service and a perfect fit for my Dirty Hand Tools 22 ton splitter. Because DHT went of business and there is no warranty support, I took a chance on this valve and was happy I did. Much more robust than the original part… I don’t see this one breaking anytime soon. Bought the version with half-inch work ports.

No good
Ruggedmade it didn’t work. Purchased this control and expected to be correct did not work so sent it back paid $79.88 plus shipping returned for refund but was refunded $12 don’t see the logic here but that’s ok will definitely not purchase from this company again. Buyer beware.

Efficient but not excellent
The in / out / auto detent features work and the unit greatly improved efficiency over its predecessor that wouldn't automatically retract and stop. That said, I was worried when I noticed some letters were molded into the caste iron backwards. Turns out, the whole valve had to be mounted backwards to get the detent feature to work in the right direction (switching hoses didn't work). Everything works, but there is sloppiness in manufacturing and testing.

Better than original valve on my splitter...
Had a small part/casting break. Rugged Made shipped out a replacement part quickly and had me working again.Valve is better than the one it's replacing, heavier duty. I split a lot of wood and will update the review over time...Thanks for replacing the broken casting RM.
