This is classic old school hip-hop
This CD was a lot better than I expected. I've heard many of the original songs that were suppose to be on the CD, but he changed them all, so I didn't know what to expect. He has a lot of guest artist, but it's a great blend; he's not overshadowed by them.He uses a lot more bands with this project, which I think is great. You can tell that its not the average hip-hop CD of today. The CD starts off with "Time for War," which reminded me of LL from "I'm Bad" days by the way he was rapping. It's a classic. A few more really good tracks are "You Better Watch Me," which was produced my Marley Mal. This is another classic. It shows that he can be hard when he wants to be. It shows his versatility, which is something that most rappers don't have. "Mr. President" with Wyclef Jean on the hook is another good track. It talks about service member dying in war, etc.... "Get over Here" is a dirty South type of song. It's much better than I expected. He has a couple of new people on it and it flows very well. "Come and Party" with me features Fat Joe is another song that is much better than I expected. This is definitely a club banger "I Fall in Love" is a smooth track, but not to the point where you want to go and make babies. It has a great flow and will keep your attention the entire time. This is just SOME of the positives. The "Baby" Rock Remix is catchy and I actually like it, but it doesn't flow with the CD. "American Girl" is not one of my favorites. It didn't catch me from the start and probably shouldn't have made the CD. "This is Ring Tone Murder" is a hit or a miss. Either you will like it or you won't. I am not feeling it. He has some songs on his mixed tape that should've replaced these that are straight hot. If you haven't heard the mixed tape, you can look it up online and download it for free. Had he done that, this CD would definitely rate 5 starts. But with the above shortcomings, I still give it 4 out of 5. Definitely worth the purchase!

Good, but not GOAT
It is always great and fun to hear some new LL after all these years. This is not his best album by far, but he does come through with a handful of good ones.-Baby - here is your mainstream song that gets the album in radio play.-You Better Watch Me - this one is great. You can play this one over and over and just bob your head.-Speedin on da Highway - I like this one driving down the road.- Come and Party With Me - good enough for the end of the album- Feel My Heart BeatSome of the songs are flat-out not good - Mr. President, Dear Hip Hop and American Girl. Who talked him in to doing these?Anyways, this album has its moments and is worth a listen because LL is the G.O.A.T.

Mr.Smith is back

A great way for the G.O.A.T. to bow out, I think if it's his last album.
Exit 13 proves that LL Cool J can rhyme with some new rappers in the game. In his songs he talks about personnal problems, love, and pain on why he should've defended the music he made. LL Cool J got some cool collobrators as well. Guys like The Dream and 50 Cent, you can't go wrong. Exit 13 is the album that a lot of LL Cool J fans have been waiting for him to do.
