Great Mac Keyboard
Using my MacBook for work all day now that I’m working from home, I quickly found long term use of the Mac keyboard I ‘acquired’ from my wife’s computer was not a good fit for me. The lack of full size arrow keys was frustrating for me so I was looking for a new keyboard that: had full size arrows, native Mac support, and not a full size keyboard. Full size puts the mouse too far to the right for me, so the TKL design was a perfect fit. The Velocifire M87 hit all my requirements, including price. The keyboard feels very solid, does not slide around, and once I got reacquainted with the full size keys, very comfortable. One note is I did not consider the height of the keys and the Mac keyboard was so flat, so again for me a wrist rest or pad was a good addition. Another item to consider is the sound of the key taps. At first it was louder then I expected, but as I have gotten a better feel for the keyboard and not hitting the keys as hard, the click is reduced and pleasing to hear. Overall, after a couple weeks, I am a fan of this keyboard and how it feels and sounds.

Great mechanical keyboard for Mac users who want something better
Around January of 2019, I decided to purchase a mechanical keyboard. I had never purchased a mac specific keyboard before and I decided to try one and see how it felt compared to using the one the iMac comes with. After searching for at least a week, I finally came across this one (M87 Mac Layout Mechanical Keyboard). Even though it was meant for more typing related activities, I still decided to give it a try for gaming as well. So, here I am, 9 months later giving a review of the best keyboard I have ever typed on.I am going to start with the cons because there aren't many of them :)Cons:- Only has the color white- No number pad- Caps lock light is on the other side of the keyboard- FingerprintsPros:- Ergonomic, sloping key style- Customizations for the backlighting which makes up for the one color option- Extendable feet for extra typing comfort- VERY durable- Easy to clean- Long, braided USB cable- Metal designConclusion:Since I have been using this keyboard vigorously for the past 9 months, I am happy to say that it is very durable and useful. I haven't had any major problems and I have gotten away with cleaning all the keys once. Even though the keyboard only has the color white, I think white was a nice, sleek option and the ability to change the patterns of the lights really makes up for it. Gaming on it has been quite nice since it has brown switches which are my favorite by far. They have a nice clicky feel while still being quieter than blue switches. I will definitely be using this mechanical keyboard in the future. Thanks!

Good minimalist mechanical keyboard (Update: Longevity Issues)
Update: A year and a half after this purchase, I am writing this review using my Das Keyboard. I purchased two of these keyboards, one for my Mac and another for a Windows computer. That keyboard is still functioning, but the one for my Mac (which is used daily and extensively for homework and actual work) did not last. Today the S, Q, W, and probably other keys stopped working. The lighting effects were kinda cool and while I loved the feel of the keyboard and minimalist design, I won't buy another. I really figured I would be able to get a couple of years out of it.I've been a bit spoiled with my Das Keyboard, but the darn thing is a surf board. I needed a 10keyless keyboard for my docked Macbook and this fit the bill. The feel of the typing is good, the materials are good, the backlight is a nice feature and it is comfortable to use. I think that if you want an exceptional keyboard, you are going to have to drop the $$ on a Das Keyboard, but if you want something that will not hog your desk space, that you can see in the dark and that has a good follow-through with a keystroke, this isn't a bad deal. I bought a second one for my Windows computer just now after trying this one out for a bit.My only complaint is now I don't know what to do with my beautiful Das Keyboard - too bad they don't make a 10keyless option any more.

OK mechanical keyboard for Mac
A bit disappointed with this keyboard. I come from old school computer use where the keyboard that you used was a mechanical keyboard (old XT keyboards and even before those). I don't like typing on some of these new keyboards that are around now..too plasticky, mushy feeling...just don't like them. This one has a better feel than some of the cheap plastic ones, but not as good as some others i have tried. For the price, I expected more. I have a lesser expensive one that has a metal base that feels heftier and has nicer key response. This one is a bit quieter than my other one (the cheaper one has the super loud keys), but still can bottom out and make a bit of noise. I would not suggest this in a cube enviroment...it's too loud for that unless you put key dampeners on it (rubber o-rings underneath the keys - sold here on Amazon). This one is setup for Mac keyboard layout, so that does work. I have not used it past normal function keys, but CMD, OPT, CTRL functions work as they should on a Mac. You have to go into System Preferences/Keyboard to set the function keys as standard F1, F2, etc, but then the Mac shortcuts should work.Just a bit disappointed in the feel of it and build quality, especially for the price. It's good enough for me to keep, but wished it was a bit better feel.

Great keyboard until it wasn't!!
Got this product in October of 2020 to facilitate working from home due to the pandemic. The keyboard worked great until it didn't. It did everything I needed it to do and the brown switches are just right for me. I love the minimalistic design of this keyboard with no flashy logos. The lighting effects are also a nice touch to have. However, after 7 months this keyboard has been very frustrating to use. I do not know if I have a faulty keyboard, but the keys are not responding as they used to. The keys frequently will not register when pressed or count a single press as duplicates. This is very frustrating as I am hitting the keys with no response, which messes up a couple of letters in a sentence and then then everything subsequently after. I very disappointed because I expected this keyboard to last longer for the price I paid for it.

Easy to use for Macbook, comfortable tactile feel - I like the lights and the sound
Found this really easy to use with my Macbook Pro 2019! I like the feel of the keys, and when you plug in the keyboard its lights flash in a pretty pattern. No complaints so far, but I've only been using this for a week; will have to see how it holds up with some more time.

Nice keyboard
Got this for my husband for Christmas and he loved it! However the “u” key wasn’t as responsive as the others which led to much error. Also, there was a sharp burr on the spacebar that was problematic. Unfortunately, we had to return it as these issues couldn’t be tolerated. The seller was very good about it, sent a return label and offered a 10% discount or a full refund. We inquired about an exchange (they had them listed as in stock on Amazon) as my husband really wanted this keyboard but the seller said there weren’t any available. Otherwise the keyboard functioned as it should and the backlight was very bright.

Decent keyboard, a little too overpriced in my opinion, but good entry to mechanical keyboard market
I got this keyboard because I wanted to get a mechanical keyboard for my macbook. As far as functionality goes, its really great. It works flawlessly with the mac, and is a good keyboard if you don't care about sound. However, the build quality isn't the greatest, and that's expected for the price range. Personally, I just wasn't a fan of the sound of the keyboard - the keys and space bar rattled too much. If these things won't bother you, then it can be a good keyboard.
