Very good read
I must say once again, I started this book with low expectations because Supernatural books generally have a history of disappointing you. But I have to say, that this is literally one of the best books I've read in the published 'fanfiction' series. The story is basically one giant roller coaster ride from start to finish which will leave you holding your breath as you read it. There is literally no boring moment in this book. I noticed that some reviewers say that the ending was boring, but for me it was perfect :) Also the characterisation is spot on, and will honestly make you believe like you're reading the story of the real Winchester brothers from the show and not just fanfiction.Well written, fast paced, from an author who clearly knows his characters and their stories. A definite must read for any Supernatural fan :)

Supernatural: Carved in Flesh
Sam and Dean Winchester at their best. I really liked the book. I only wish either the book was longer or I would read slower lol. This is well worth the time and money you spend. I have been through all the books written so far and have not been disappointed yet. The whole Supernatural thing, books or the tv series are great. Not to mention the eye candy you get with the tv series!! (Imagine a wink and raised eyebrows)

Filthy Winchesters
When the humans are scarier than the monsters/gods/creatures/supernatural beings, then the reader is in for a thrilling reading journey (with seriously gross undertones). Chandler, the main antagonist, is a being of menacing charm, intelligence and numerous talents that create dangerous obstacles for the Winchester boys. Most readers of SUPERNATURAL novels know that beings that place their blind faith in other worldly beings (who are hell-bent on destroying the world) are met with their own demise. Waggoner does not dumb Dean down. Dean is still funny and protective of Sam, but he is a determined man when it comes to plotting the extinction of the Leviathan. Waggoner chose to keep the boys together throughout the novel fighting Frankenstein-like creatures and gaining a deeper understanding of human beings who are so desperate to hold on to loved ones and ease their physical ailments. This reader hopes to hear more from Tim Waggoner. "Craved In Flesh" was gross, but intriguing novel. Buy it!

Great book
As a fan of the Supernatural TV series, I love reading these books to see what Sam and Dean are up to between episodes. This book was fantastic! It keeps you interested and wanting to read more! I highly recommend for anyone who loves Supernatural or anyone who loves a good monster mystery!

Wish we walked more with the Winchesters, but still a fun read
This was my first Supernatural book, so I can't compare it to the others that are out there. That said, it was a fun read in and of itself. When it comes to television spinoff stories, I'm usually not expecting blow-your-mind literature, and at best I hope for an accurate portrayal of the characters and story I love.In that respect, Waggoner did a great job. I could easily hear Jensen and Jared delivering the dialogue of this book, and the general behavior of the guys felt true to the original material. Sam struck me as more book smart than what I'm used to, but not enough to throw him out of character. References to *canon* background were kept fairly minimal, so there wasn't much opportunity for error that would upset the diehard fans, either. The only thing I disliked about the story was that scenes jumped back and forth between the brothers and the antagonists. Because of that, we always knew what the bad guys were up to before Sam and Dean could find out for themselves. Since it's a given that neither Sam or Dean would be permanently killed off in the story, this dampened a lot of the suspense. The reader, almost always, will know who's going to attack the guys and when. I'd have preferred that we learn the motives of the villains and watch the events unfold alongside the Winchesters, rather than apart from them.Oh - and while I saw that some readers didn't care for the side story that involved a flashback into the brothers' past, I thought it was one of the most interesting parts of the book. The flashbacks (which take place when Dean is in his early teens) are heavy, but I found them to be more exciting than the main story. So, bottom line: If you're a Supernatural fan and are interested in stepping into the world of the Winchesters outside of the TV show, this is a good place to start. If you're NOT a fan of the show, I'm not sure that this book will endear you to the characters enough to win you over, but you'll definitely be able to follow along and enjoy the ride.

The best Supernatural novel BY FAR
I have read almost all the Supernatural novels written. With that said I consider that Tim Waggoner is not only true to character but also has some ideas that the writers of the show should look into. I browse the fanfiction sites hungrily looking for material as gripping and thrilling as this. After reading some amazing amateur writers (and some not so good) I think that reading this novel is like watching an extremely good episode, with some great things that hardly ever happen in the show. Mr. Waggoner introduces H/C without making it central to the story. He also uses a monster never explored in the show that might have been dumb in another context, but works great in this book.I hope Mr. Waggoner writes more Supernatural novels so we can keep enjoying the show long after the boys jump the shark... which in my opinion happened two seasons ago!

New monsters for Sam and Dean
The boys have dealt with the reanimated dead before and this time it is quite a stinky situation. Combine a grieving physician and a 300 year old alchemist with evil motives and you have unexplained deaths that bring Sam and Dean to do this "side job" in their quest to kill Dick Roman. I liked the book and the situation the boys were in. The author has a good grasp of the SPN mythology. I liked that there was not a lot of unnecessary backstory. I would like to see this author write more SPN books.

This guy should be in the series
AMAZING, Waggoner. Sam and Dean are wonderfully written, the author must be a great fan or just a great writer, because he knows the so very well. Also amazing story, very in the series line. I give it a 10 out of 10, very recommended.
