The next day my husband and I couldn't believe it, the smell WAS GONE! I almost cried haha it literally ate the smell, however the next day I noticed the smell coming back so we used the spray again, and again after two days, I think it needs some re-applying to ensure the effect since we noticed the smell coming back slightly. I first tried Febreeze, didn't work. I purchased Smoke Eater, gave the purse a good spritzing inside and out and hung it by my open front door to dry. After 2 days, not only did the perfume & smoke smell go away, so did the lavendar smell that had started to gag me. After a week of treating this horrible smelling purse, all smells are gone and I can finally use it.
