Perfect!
NOTE: Amazon has updated their listing to reflect the current version, the version I purchased. If you've owned a camelback before, you know how good they are. This one is no different. I won't bore you with yet another review stating what all the other reviews have said. The one thing that is different than what I expected is... The Camelbak I received DID NOT have any loops on the back of it to hang things off of like on other Camelbaks or in other reviews. The Camelbak website shows the current version that you should expect to receive. Apparently, it was updated at some point. There is also NO quick detach for the drinking tube. I ordered the Camelbak Quick-Link Conversion Kit at the same time I ordered this Camelbak. I honestly never expected there to be one and thought it was a neat add-on. At least one other reviewer complained about this. So, I wanted to clarify this.I use this Camelbak for hiking, Cub Scouts and fly fishing when I need to carry a few extra items or stash a spare jacket or raincoat, snacks, sunblock, etc. It does compact quite well when there is nothing in the storage compartments. There is even a separate vertical zippered pocket that could be used to carry your wallet, keys or anything that you want to keep separate from the rest of your gear. While there IS a lot of storage, this is NOT an overnight pack. If you fly fish, the black & green is the color to buy. I also own a smaller Camelbak that I use when I do not need to carry anything, but some extra water.I'm very happy with my purchase!

All around great bag
This was a great purchase and at a good price. I got it in the summer, but I used it for the first time this past weekend.I went on a weekend cycling trip. For some reason, I decided to take the waist bag on the first day and not the Camelbak. Bad idea. It's just too much of a hassle to get the water bottle and put it back in its place. The next day I took the Camelbak and I'll probably never go on a long ride or walk without it again. It was filled up with cold water and some other necessities (be careful not to over pack it because it can hold a good amount of stuff. It was so convenient. And it looks good. There seems to be some small drops of water in the bag and I can't tell where it's coming or if it's just condensation.I'd recommend this bag. I got it for about $65. Not sure if I'd pay $80, but it's a quality item.

Excellent camelbak for day hikes, or touristing around.
I've used my Camelbak for day hikes, riding my mountain bike, and playing tourist (walking around a city environment). The pack holds comfortably many essentials (point-and-shoot camera, keys, maps, snacks, sunglasses case, towel, hat). It rests comfortably on my shoulders even with the added weight.Definitely on the recommend category. What I wish it had:reflective tape so when I ride my bike at night/dusk it was more visible.

Glad we spent the $
We bought this for a vacation to Colorado where we figured we would be doing some hiking trails at National Parks. Last year we used a regular backpack and water bottles. We are not intense hikers by any means but this pack was awesome! It was so much lighter and more comfortable for hiking. The ease and amount of water in the pouch was perfect. Even on hot days (had two in high 90's), the water stays pretty cool. We weren't going to spend the money and did at the last minute and were SO glad we did!

Great bag. I'd choose one with more distinct pockets ...
Great bag. I'd choose one with more distinct pockets rather than one giant pocket next time tho. Also I'd probably go with Osprey for the lifetime warranty. The camelback bladder/mouth piece are much better than competitors tho.

Great water pack!
Used it for a trip to France, we walked several miles a day and this thing was a lifesaver. Stored plenty of water for 2 people for an entire day, as well as space for light jackets, umbrellas, and small purchases along the way. solid quality, no weird taste to the water either. My wife didn't want to get it at first, and I reminded her of this fact whenever she got thirsty. I did eventually let her drink though.

very light and versatile
The 70oz water bladder is the best bet. 2 liters for a day hike is all you need. Good pocket design and strap adjustments. The water bladder feed line is a little short if you plan to use it in a full length backpack that has the sleeve for one.

I have a Lobo which is great for shorter runs
It's a Camelbal, enough said! I have a Lobo which is great for shorter runs. I felt I needed something bigger for the long rides in the Texas heat and this fit the bill. Larger water and storage capacity!! Camelbaks are great products, but they can be pricey if you don't shop around!
