We were as gentle as can be on them. After the third wash, they were already pilling in the areas where we sleep most. Now it's scratchy and uncomfortable. I'm glad I got them though. I've washed them about 10 times now and they get softer every time. They're so comfortable I don't want to get out of bed in the morning. The other thing I love about them is they don't hold heat like some sheets. They're nice and cold when you first lay down for bed. They seem like they're really good quality. The fitted sheet has elastic all the way around it. Not just the corners like some fitted sheets. It fits very snugly. The pillow cases and the flat sheet have a really cool stitching to them too. If you hold the stitch up to the light, you can see little individual spaces but you can tell it's really sturdy.
