I love how this collar is built, does not easily fall off like most other collars i have bought, which ended up being a huge waste of money because they were never to be found because my cats go inside and outside. this collar gives me confidence that it will stay on a lot stronger, and come off when it needs to in case of cat emergency like getting snagged on a tree or something of the such. Also not to mention but i like they way that these collars smell.

The bad thing is I bought 5 of these at almost $100. 3 for dogs and 2 for cats. My dogs are inside dogs and only go out to use the restroom 3 times a day. My dogs where covered with fleas because I let my guard down thinking these collars would work atleast a little. Fleas even congregated around the collar area to have a warm hiding place. I can't say I saw a decrease in fleas it seemed more of a increase. Also the smell on these collars is so strong it made me queasy and I had to open windows. Before I put the collars on I took all pets a bath and made sure they had no fleas at all. I guess it's back to bathing once a week and flea sprays every few days for the pets. I don't treat the yard because It caused bad adverse affects for cats a few years back, cats got sick.

It’s been about 6-8 weeks with this collar. My cat normally uses Advantage to manage her fleas. I tried Seresto once but her skin had an allergic reaction and it made her neck raw. I decided to give this a try as it was time to treat her and I noticed a couple of fleas. I gave her a Capstar first, the night before. I put this collar on the following morning. She did smell like a walking citronella candle for about a week and a half, but it didn’t seem to bother her so I left it on. Well she hasn’t had a flea to date so I’m very happy about that. Even if the collar only lasts 4 months, I’ll feel I’ve gotten my money’s worth. Note: My pups use the Seresto collars and have been doing great with it so far. So nothing bad to say about Seresto.

I read a ton of reviews before buying these collars. Prior to these, my animals had soresto collars and I thought this was an amazing deal if they worked. Well, I finally got them out and put them on my 3 cats and 1 dog today and I am still waiting for 1 to get here for my mom’s dog who also lives at my house. The smell is overwhelming!!! I have had a migraine since I put them on my pets. I am TRYING to fight through the really smelly time but if it is more than 2 or 3 days, I’m thinking I wasted a ton of money.

I don't know if it worked or not, but the overwhelming stench of citronella was enough for me to take it off the cat and throw it in the trash

The citronella smell was so strong we had to remove the flea collar from the cat while the cat was inside the house. One of our cats had a very difficult time getting past the smell as well and couldn't wear the collar at all.

I would not recommend this product to anyone. My poor cat still has fleas and he’s starting to go bald where the collar was.

It's been 6 days and still fleas. I think the natural ingredients work to repel fleas fairly well but if your cats already have them it might be best to use capstar or something to kill what's living and use collars as a future preventative.
