Well worth the money, the image looks great whilst playing something like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 or Medal of Honour.Great frame rate, well worth the money and the additional power supply is a great addition.

Excellent quality item. Does what it says on the tin. Didn’t need to faff around setting it up, just plugged it all in and it was ready to play both PS1 and PS2 games

My games did look much better with this cable but if you are in a pal reigon please be aware that the image on the screen will be too tall so a small section of the top and bottom of the screen will be cut off. This can be fixed in some games by running them at 60hz instead of 50hz

The best thing about this product is that it allows you to enjoy your PS1 and PS2 games on modern HDMI only displays. Also it is faily easy to set up and comes with a detachable HDMI cable. It also comes with a mini-USB to USB cable since it needs power from one of the console's USB ports or another power source.Also on the positive side is the very clean picture with good color reproduction although a bit dark and soft. I'll come back to that in a bit.Unfortunately the product has a few design flaws which may or may not be a deal breaker.The first limitation is the built in upconversion. The adapter upscales all games to 720p regardless of native resolution. This means that the image is stretched to 16:9 widescreen regardless of native aspect ration which may be a problem on certain displays that don't allow for aspect change to 4:3 when displaying 720p content.The second limitation is that the 720 upconvesion and rescaling is optimized for 240p and 480i games. This means that PAL only (576i) games are cropped and displayed slightly offset to the bottom right.The third limitation is support for progressive scan and higher resolutions. The PS2 could do progressive scan over RGB through sync on green, but in order to cut costs, this has not been implemented. This means that 480p, 720p and 1080i are not supported.The fourth limitation is RGB color space support. The product only supports the full RGB color space (0-255) which is optimized for PC monitors. TV's on the other hand are optimized for RGB limited coloir space (16-235) which means that one needs to set the correct RGB range or blacks will look crushed.In effect these limitations means that the picture will never look as good as progressive scan through component cables or RGB via an external converter/scaler such as the Framemeister or the OSSC.Should you buy this product? Well, it depends.You should only ever consider this product if your display (or AVR) lacks component inputs. I your set up does have component inputs you'are better off buying component cables.Assuming your set up is limited to HDMI inputs there're still situations where this product is not suitable.If your game collection primarily consists of 240p or 480i games and your displays allow you to swap back and forth between 16:9 and 4:3 ratio this product is an affordable way to play your games on a modern display. Just don't expect that it will magically convert your games to high definition.If you need support for progressive scan and/or own many PAL only games you're better off saving up for an OSSC or Framemeister.

Broken only used it 5 times peace of junk it literally fell apart. When I wasn't using it was stored in my game unit with my 2000+retro games' the 5 times it worked it did boost picture quality 720p. Mixed together with mclassic I got 1080p on ps1-ps2 it is a shame it is built with such poor quality

si tienes un presupuesto bajo y no tienes para un ossc esto es lo mejor q le puedes poner a tu ps1 va muy pero muy bien en ps1 mejora la calidad y para mi eso es asombroso la verdad lo puedo ver en una televion actual y encima mejor

Bonjour, je me permets de réagir aux nombreux commentaires concernant le sifflement :Si vous passez directement par le signal HDMI, un sifflement apparaît inévitablement en fond (sûrement un défaut d'isolation dans le circuit intégré), qui peut s'avérer pénible si vous passez par un ampli.Personnellement, j'ai contourné le problème en utilisant la sortie en fibre optique et en basculant le son dans les paramètres de la PS2 vers la fibre optique : En branchant la sortie HDMI à ma TV et la sortie audio à mon ampli, l'expérience de jeu est bluffante avec une sortie vidéo nickel et universelle (PS1 comme PS2) et une sortie son en dolby!En espérant vous avoir apporté mon retour d'expérience, n'hésitez pas à commander ce petit boîtier magique et hyper compatible.

Ammetto che come acquisto sono andato molto alla cieca: tra i millemila prodotti a basso costo di dubbia qualità ho deciso di optare per qualcosa di più costoso ma affidabile, pur non sapendo se il prodotto funzionasse o no.Appena arrivato ho montato il tutto ed ha funzionato fin da subito, almeno nel mio caso non ho dovuto regolare le impostazioni del mio monitor o della PSone. L'immagine è buona, non ci sono "sfarfallii" o roba del genere e la giocabilità è garantita. Ah, e per fortuna il mio monitor legge i 4:3, così non ho dovuto fare i conti con immagini strecciate o altro.Chi è patito dell'alta risoluzione probabilmente non sarà soddisfatto, ma il mio obiettivo alla fine era quello di rispolverare la mia vecchia PSone e poterci giocare sul mio monitor senza presa Scart o AV.Anche il suono è ben restituito: se avete un monitor con uscita audio integrata non avrete particolari problemi o fastidi.Nel complesso sono soddisfatto del mio acquisto, il prodotto fa quello che mi aspettavo e non mi ha dato problemi. Il tutto è arrivato ben confezionato e senza danni!

Alles in allem bin ich mit dem Adapter sehr zufrieden! Im Gegensatz zu anderen Adaptern werden alle notwendigen Kabel in ausreichender Länge mitgeliefert und das Ganze lässt sich an meiner PS2 (Slim) perfekt anschließen, ohne das es zu Kabel-Engpässen kommt. Der Adapter besitzt eine Leuchtdiode, die anzeigt, ob er Strom, mittels des mitgelieferten USB-Kabels, bekommt. Das Bild ist top, sofern man die PlayStation 2 in den RGB-Modus schaltet. Ohne diesen Modus ist das Bild jedoch lediglich grün und man kommt noch ohne Probleme in das Einstellungsmenü um den Modus zu ändern. Eine kleine bebilderte Anleitung liegt dem Adapter sogar bei.Wie es in manchem Forum schon Thema war, lassen sich mit diesem Adapter nicht nur PS2-Spiele auf einem 4k- oder OLED-Fernseher abspielen, sondern auch PS1-Spiele. Dies funktioniert wirklich super, obwohl man sich schon wundert, wie schlecht die Grafik damals gewesen ist... früher hatte man natürlich auch keine sooo großen hochauflösenden Bildschirme. Die Bildqualität ist jedoch top!Einziger Wehrmutstropfen...: das Bildverhältnis / Seitenverhältnis bei PAL-Spielen ist nicht perfekt. Man muss hier gegebenenfalls mit den Einstellungen im PS2-Menü oder am Fernseher noch etwas nachhelfen um den Screen bestmöglich anzupassen. In der Standardeinstellung werden bei mir oben und unten Bildteile abgeschnitten. Durch das Ändern der Einstellungen komme ich nun auf ca. 85% Ausnutzung des vorhandenen Platzes auf dem Bildschirm, was für mich aber in Ordnung geht. Je nach Fernseheinstellungen kann man hier sicher auch mehr rausholen. Mit US-Spielen habe ich es noch nicht ausprobiert, hier sollte es aber wohl, laut diversen Foren, keine Probleme mit dem Bildschirmformat geben.Nachdem ich nun mehrere Adapter ausprobiert habe, von denen viele nicht korrekt funktionierten, bin ich mit diesem hier am meisten zufrieden. Ich habe noch keine Langzeitstudien aufstellen können, aber bis jetzt sieht das alles sehr gut aus. Es handelt sich hierbei um den teuersten Adapter, welchen ich bis jetzt gesehen habe, aber ich finde das Ganze lohnt sich, da auch nicht jeder Adapter es ermöglicht PS1-Spiele auf den modernen Fernsehern darzustellen.Somit klare Kaufempfehlung, sofern man sich an der Seitenverhältnis-Geschichte bei PAL-Spielen nicht stört. Ob es hier noch etwas Besseres gibt, kann ich leider nicht sagen.Freue mich aber über weitere Empfehlungen! Was tut man nicht alles, um die alten Games auf den Screen zu bekommen!? ;-)
