In this startling and provocative book drawn from his popular Anti-Empire Reports, William Blum - one of the United States' leading non-mainstream chroniclers of American foreign policy - argues that the world has been conditioned to believe that US foreign policy means well but nothing could be further from the truth.

Wars & subversion...
A radical but very biased account of what American foreign policy has achieved since the end of WW2. An account of how America has shamefully invaded, bombed or overthrown literally any country that has dared to display an alternative or not pay homage to its capitalist form of democracy. At the same it has built up the biggest network of world wide military bases in history, contravened conventions on torture and been involved in more indiscriminate or subversive killings than you can shake a stick at. It provokes the question 'are we really the good guys?' Shamefully I fear the UK is as culpable as the U.S.!

William Blum delivers again. Exposes the hypocrisy behind politicians of all persuasions and the depths they will sink to in order to preserve their cosy little worlds.A recommended read for anyone fed up with the status quo.

After reading Blum... I finally understood why ISIS propaganda campaign is so attractive and successful among young immigrants in Europe. Our western foreign policy has been so infernal and ISIS knows very well how to use it to recruit gullible young men. As long as we don't face our own monstrous foreign policy abroad, terrorism will keep coming back home. It's a consequence of globalization, what goes around comes around.

Uncomfortable truths
Uncomfortable truths that need to be told. Blum does so. Bravely. A collection of essays rather than a plotted work.
