Try at your own risk
I bought 7 of these critters through different buyers. Each one works differently. Some turn on whether the light is on or not, others only turn on when it is dark and there is motion. 3 turn on and off every few seconds without any motion. One Company tried to help me by taking back a couple and replacing 2of them but the replacements had same problem. They give off great amount of light and are very decorative. The ones that keep turning off and on at will go through the four AAA batteries every other week, so I stopped using those lights. But I am stuck with useless lights because the magnetic strip that holds the night light in place cannot be removed without ripping off the paint on the wall. It is clever how the actual light itself can be removed leaving the magnetic strip on the wall as this makes for easy battery replacement. Do not fall for the line one free magnetic strip comes with each light. A couple of the lights did not have the extra magnetic strip included. I do have 2 that appear to work properly and those two are great. You will have to decide for yourself if they are worth the money or not. I wish I had never tried them.

Makes my house smarter.
IIIIIIIII like it! Plenty bright for nighttime illumination. Motion sensor works well. It has a light sensor too. So, it doesn't go off in the daytime. I stuck it to the fridge. It also comes with a second magnetic strip with a sticky backing. You can stick the strup to anything and snap the light to the strip. I don't stump my toes on furniture anymore. Plus my house seems eerily high-tech - like it knows where I am. It's very comforting to know that an electronic eye is watching for me at all hours of the night.

Nice little light
I had a problem with this when I first purchased it and gave it only one star. Peng's contacted me immediately and offered a replacement which I grudgingly accepted. I installed the light and at first it was a bit slow and inconsistent in coming on but better than the first one. After a couple of days it works great, gives off ample light for the cubby I have it in and I have had no problems. I would buy it again if need be.

This is perfect!!
What an awesome light!! I'm planning to buy more. I needed something to light up for my dog to enter his dog house but without being on all the time and without electricity. This fit the bill and then some. Great quality, good light, fast shipping. Plan to add to my closets and one in a scary dark spot next to the cat box! You won't be disappointed.

The best gift for my mother.
This was the perfect gift for my mother. She forgets to turn on her porch light before leaving and now she has a light that automatically comes on. She used it recently to go into a dark storage area to find something. It works great and Mom can see when someone comes to her back door which makes her feel more secure.

lighting the dark space
These are the greatest battery operated lights I have ever purchased. They work as designed every time I open a cabinet or walk past a light in the bedroom. I purchased two and two weeks later purchased 4 more. I would highly recommend and will buy several more.Steve G

Good light for a dark room
Works great! Good seller. I noticed negative reviews. Before you fly off the handle and leave a negative review, test the light in a relatively dark room. You might find it works like it's supposed to.

Terrible quality
Bought two both lasted less than a month used for just 15 mins 4 times a week. It wasn't dead batteries they just stopped working
