Prosciutto hot and spicy spread is basically an extremely finely ground prosciutto that is blended with very hot peppers and spices which act as a natural preservative. An acquired taste this stuff is delicious, especially on a lightly toasted bagel. Also can be used as an additive to sauces to give them a real kick. I love this stuff, my spouse had to go to the east coast to find out. We love it so much we've been searching without luck for a local purveyor. Finally decided to try online.

La Quericia seemingly had a supply issue and their nduja wasn’t available (or at least was extremely hard to find) for a while. They reappeared producing extremely subpar product - particularly for them. Quite sad, but I’d recommend avoiding all of their products for at least a while.

This is not authentic 'Nduja di Spilinga, and the flavor is nothing like the real Italian product. La Quercia Nduja is actually prosciutto ends reground and packaged in a tube. The way real nduja is made is a completely different process. How La Quercia can justify calling this 'nduja is beyond me... It's a shame that Italian laws do not protect the word 'Nduja from imitation products.
