Lots of practical advice and demonstrations. i think this is the best chip carving book that i own. Good advice on sharpening which is critical. - Hank from Omaha

I believe this book has been out of print since about1985, and it came to me just as though it was just off the press. I purchased it as a gift, so I was very happy about that.

Chip Carving: Techniques & Patterns  The book was received very quickly and in great condition. This instructions are very concise and easy to follow. I would recommend this book to any carver! I also recommend the shipper.

Liked best. Book assumed no knolwedge on the readers behalf.detaled enough to make a start at making your own designs getting them on the wood organizing the cutting process.etc.

I do relief carving and was interested in how chip carving works. I've looked online and never really got it. This book finally made things clear. Very useful for a beginner.

good illustrations and advice, needs to be paired with hands on instruction when possible. would recommend.
