Little Girls Kids Layered Rainbow Tutu Skirt with Rainbow Unicorn Flower Headband

Arrived well packaged, not crumpled up. The tutu will fluff up easily. It stretches nicely at the waist and has two satin ribbons that can be tied into a bow on the front or left hanging down the back like a unicorn "tail". Very comfy, soft type tulle, my daughter wore it for several hours over leggings without much wrinkling, no tearing, only one small snag that I fixed by gently smoothing the tulle out. So, it held up really well even through rolling around in a pit of tiny rubber pellets (like an indoor sandbox), being strapped in a carseat, and climbing on play structures. The unicorn horn headband is really cute. The flower and tulle fluff up and stay up behind the horn and add a nice crown like effect most of the other headbands didn't have. I thought it might look cheap and cheezy, but the while set actually was super cute and much better than other play tutus and even the fancy etsy one she's had. The waistband is a soft satin poly blend with the tulle pieces sewn to it from the bottom. Each color tulle is a separate piece so it is easy for movement in any direction or contortions by the child. Each piece has a satin poly ribbon sewn to the bottom so there it is soft on the legs and resists fraying and snagging. The elastic inside the waistband isnt sewn to the satin-like cover, though, and does fold and twist inside with enough playing or dancing around. So, it might be a good idea to stretch it out and sew a quick stitch around the waistband if that bothers you or the kid. I haven't washed the tutu yet, but I think when I do, it should be washed by itself on gentle cycle and dried on a medium heat or hung up to dry. As far as sizing goes, I got the large for my daughter who wears a size 8/10 and has a chubby tummy. However, the waistband stretches a lot and could be worn by both a much smaller and skinnier girl or even a bit bigger girl. It is sort of short, coming down to about mid-thigh on my girl who is 41 1/2 inches tall. So, my advice is buy the large and let your girl enjoy it for several years. The headband is kind of small, though. It fit on my 4 yr old's head without any gapping in the band, but to get it to stay put so she could play, I had to secure it to her hair with a snap barrette on each side. After that, she wore it while running around playing for about 2 hours until I unfastened them, but it could have been worn longer and stayed put. The horn is a shimmery rainbow material that is soft but sturdy, so no worries about it bending over or slumping. Seriously, this set is a great deal, would have paid more but happy I didn't have to. It was only meant to be a fun one day party outfit over pink leggings and a t-shirt, and I really thought she'd only keep it on for a little while before taking it off to play like she does with her other tutus, but this has turned out to be another fun dress up "toy" that she thinks is one of her birthday presents! Buy it and I'm pretty sure your little girl is going to love hers, too!
