World Radio TV Handbook 2019: The Directory of Global Broadcasting

This book has been published annually for decades and it is an invaluable reference for radio buffs everywhere. It provides program and frequency listings for all sorts of radio and tv programs. For example, say you find an interesting program on a certain frequency tonight at 9:00. By using this book you can find the station, program, and country in a moment. Also included is a huge range of info including the names and address of stations, types of programs, etc, etc, The more you listen to radio, the more helpful this book becomes. It's a national treasure.

The book is amazing and comprehensive BUT was disappointed to learn it does NOT contain the exhaustive list of FM signals in the USA that it does for AM. FMs are listed in “major metropolitan areas” ONLY. I live in a major metro area of 1.5 million people... but it apparently didn’t make the cut. Also won’t help me much if I travel to a smaller city with FM stations I don’t know.It’s the only disappointment in an otherwise great book, but for me it’s a big one.

I have used this product since 1962 and it has always been an awesome reference for information on international stations on all bands (shortwave, medium wave, FM and TV). Also contains information on clandestine stations, time zones, world time stations, geographic coordinates for both international and domestic broadcast transmitter sites, maps of major shortwave stations by continent and a host of related reference information. Each year there are also a handful of excellent feature articles on listening equipment and broadcasters as well as receiver and antenna reviews. An indispensable reference book for those who listen/watch the various bands as a hobby or for world travelers.

I thought it was ham radio but it really for CB radio.

Though expensive, this book provided exactly what I wanted. I mess around with AM dxing and in one table this book gives call sign, frequency, and location. This saves a lot of time in trying to ID a station. I also has short wave tables and frequency. I have had this book about 12 hours and I have already referred to it about 10 times. Very pleased.

If you want to know which on air (not online) radio or tv station broadcast in which language on which frequency, when from which country to which country, this is the handbook you need, especially if you travel, study another language or enjoy the fun of seeing what exotic country you can hear on your shortwave radio.

This is my umteenth annual WRTH purchaase and it delivers what I expect - the best source for insight as to what is happening in RTv technology around the world. Receiver reviews reveal the declining number of new dedicated receivers available.

Great publication for the hobby of DX'ing. Always a quality product.

This is definitely a product everyone should have in their home,by far it provided a source of correct information you wouldn't get anywhere else.

I used to buy this regularly when it was first published. Whilst commercial radio is now very much dminated by Chinese and other bradcasters pushing out 500kW and this has impinged on some of the smaller stations, it's still an excellent reference guide to have on my desk.
