Odd construction
The wire feels more like electrical wire than speaker wire. It is very stiff. There are no markings on the cable to indicate where the positive and negative are. However, one can distinguish between the positive and negative because there is a different type of metal used for the positive and the negative. This is a cheap wire. It works. But it is NOT audiophile grade. No audiophile in their right mind would use a different type of metal for the positive and negative connection. It should be copper all the way through. I gave it three stars because it is constructed just fine and it works. But the stiffness and different metal types took away its potential for a five star rating.

Excellent All-Copper Audio Cable From Orb Audio - AND MADE IN THE U.S.A.
This speaker wire is virtually white...It's a little off white. It's made right here in the U.S.A. so it may cost a little bit more. Someone made a statement that it's copper clad aluminum - WELL IT'S NOT ALUMINUM. It's all copper and tinned to look like aluminum, so that the user can tell which side is positive and which side is negative without markers on the plastic coating. Also, if you install it backwards, it will NOT blow up your stereo as someone claims. It works well and the sound from the speakers is good too. I would recommend it to a friend or family member.

Not 100% copper
Buyer beware - this is not 100% copper, nor can any copper wire be technically 100% oxygen free. One side is aluminum, the other is copper - thats how you can tell the difference between the + and -. You can actually see the aluminum if you look at the spool and zoom in to where the wires are cut. Also thought the wires were oddly thin for 16 gauge wire. Then compared it to my current 16 gauge 100% copper wires with clear coating, and its tiny (and not in a good way). I'm no audio expert, but know that aluminum wiring can cause issues for your speakers and receiver/amp, it could end up being ok, but why risk straining/overworking your speakers/receiver/amp.In the end, I am just disappointed. I was all excited to install my speakers last night with this low-profile wire. Now I gotta try to return it and buy legit wire. Waste of money. Amazon Basics is the best place to go for wire. Wish I would have known that prior to dropping $45 on this imposter wire.

A little pricey but good
At 60 cents a foot, this rates pretty high on the pricing scale for speaker wire. But it is much more attractive than standard copper wire with transparent sheathing, and as noted by other reviewers will blend in well with white walls or woodwork. It is also good quality wire; 16 gauge provides good strong connections without being either too flimsy like 18-20 gauge, or too hard to work with like 12-14 gauge. It does have a blue dash down one side to help you keep positive/negative straight, and it was a little less "subtle" than I had expected. Easy enough to hide this side, however.

Perfect for Running Wire Along Baseboards!
Most people's baseboards are white. This cable is white with not markings and no inconsistencies or bulges like I was seeing in other white wire options. I ran this along my baseboards, tacking it ever foot or so and couldn't be happier with the results.Since I have hardwood floors, I unfortunately couldn't tuck the wire under the baseboards without removing the quarter-round all around my living room. This was the next best option. Definitely happy with this purchase. Definitely recommend it.I used RCA's Speaker Wire Clips to take this wire to my baseboards.

expensive wires that get the job done
These wires look very good and go with white color walls. I dont know why they are so expensive as there are other similar gauge and color wires available in the market. The 3 rating is because of that. But they serve my purpose of making the wires camouflage with the walls.

Great speaker cables.
My dad had did a poor job of wiring up his 5.1 surround sound, wiring them up on the ceiling. The cables were a mess and just looked bad. plus they were the kind with the clear jacket so you could see the copper inside. I know how to properly label and dress cables so i re-did his wiring for him using this all white Orb Audio speaker wire. could hardly see it against the white walls/ceiling. speaker cables work great.

As Advertised.
I ordered this to hook up some outdoor speakers so the wiring would blend in with the white siding on my home. The coating is consistently colored and easy to work with. When purchasing this cable the words "designer white" stuck out as I was hoping to have a white cable without any printing on it - and that's exactly what this is. The cable itself seems to be of high quality. I would gladly buy from this manufacturer again.

Expensive, but exactly what I was looking for
Believe it or not this product is actually hard to find, at least in my experience. I wanted speaker cable that was completely white, not a white tube with writing down the side, which is what most 'white' speaker cable is.This is average quality speaker cable. My cable runs are quite long and encounter a lot of other cables, both power and audio, and I can tell there's a little bit of interference. Not much, considering they run alongside some power cables for a stretch, but enough that I can tell (I trained as an audio engineer). For most people, and for my kitchen, they're good enough. I must apologize to audiophiles, but I chose aesthetics over function. You can get shielded cables, but I wanted mine to be pure white.
