Fascinating, but flawed
This is a book of photographs of Dali covering the period from 1968 to 1972. Many of the photographs of Dali, his wife Gala and odd assortment of friends and hangers-on are wonderful. There is some explanation given regarding the relationship of the noted photographer with Dali, but oddly not one word from Whitaker himself. Not even a brief quote. Yes, a picture is worth a thousand words. Still, I would like to have seen a candid assessment of Dali the man and some explanation for why the relationship apparently ended abruptly in 1972.
