Samsung M8500 UHD - Wi-Fi - 2K/4K - Region Free Blu Ray Disc DVD Player - 2nd Gen 4K Multi System Player 100-240V 50/60Hz

This was the first All Regions player I have purchased. I had several DVDs of different regions which all played fine as the player automatically converts the regions on DVDs without the user changing any settings. I ran into a problem when trying to play a Region B bluray. I didn't realize until reading later that the bluray coding is done by the company themselves. They provide a paper in the box along with the product manual that gives the instructions for playing Region B,C blurays and switching back to Region A. The player has to be off, disc tray empty, buttons on the remote pressed to toggle between bluray regions, etc. Not complex once you do it, but don't expect the player to play any bluray region discs by just popping them in the player. Overall very happy with the product.

I have really enjoyed this player does dvd automatically without changing zones,but blurays do play after you change manually.

Got product promptly, connected it pushed open tray & nothing happened. Tried again and again. Reread installation instruction. Read online manual. Talkto Samsun Chat. Nothing worked. Returned product. Waiting for refund.

I also rented Blu ray from red box would not play I get an error Not supported. It appers that Samsung have a copyright issue. There are so many comments in the Samsung support forum with no help from Samsung. Do not waste your money on this.

I read reviews from several different sites, Best Buy, Amazon and so on. I have a Toshiba 55-4K. Not the most higher up, but a low cost replacement when lightning took out my Samsung's HDMI ports. This player will wow you when you play a 4K DVD. Scenes have much more color and good range between bright and dark range. I picked this up Nov 2019 open box on the cheap for $165. I have not had a single problem with streaming Netflix, Amazon. Was very easy to set up the wireless. If I remember correctly the 7500 had no wireless, just wired. To see incredible color I purchased 4K DVD Earth, a BBC release. Stunning details as in every feather on a hummingbird on this nature DVD. It really blew me away how good true 4K is, stunning. I recommend this player.
