Clean the spot with acetone first. To remove any road oil and car wax. Acetone will not harm your clear coat. Use paper towel, not a cloth. Press emblem on, hold firm for 30 seconds. Apply wax to paint around it to put back what you removed. It should last the life of the car now. That is how the dealer decals stick so well and so long.
