Fortunately I purchased from AMZN and within 30 hours had a replacement. The second set have worked as expected. Very happy. **Q: The rivet holding the handle together on the log lifter has broken. i want it repaired. what do i do? purchased this month.** A: I had the exact same experience. If you bought it from Amazon as I did...I submitted a return request....and within two days had a brand new set at my front door. I replaced my defective tongs; packaged it up and sent back the defective tongs with the rest of the replacement set which I didn’t need. While Amazon was amazing in its customer support I am now even more concerned about the quality of the tongs in view of how ‘pricey’ this set is....otherwise I love the set and the matching screen...I just expect the tools to last a lifetime. I hope that is helpful. **Q: can the broom be replaced if worn?** A: The brush head on the tool shaft can be replaced once worn. **Q: I have the burnished brass. What is the material from which it is made? Could it be brass plated? It doesn't match my brass fireplace screen and fende** A: Hello, thank you for your interest in our product. This is plated brass. Thank you again. ## Frequently Bought Together - Pilgrim Home and Hearth 18086 Sinclair Fireplace Tool Set, Burnished Brass, 20 Pounds - Smedley & York 2.15 Gallon Black Ash Bucket and Fireplace Tool Set with Lid, Shovel & Broom --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/92631986-pilgrim-home-and-hearth-18086-sinclair-fireplace-tool-set-burnished](https://www.desertcart.be/products/92631986-pilgrim-home-and-hearth-18086-sinclair-fireplace-tool-set-burnished) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
