Best of the entire bunch of cameras !
When I turn on my CAMHI app I have a list of ten cameras …. now I have #11 and this one is really nice … of course now I will have to replace a few with this wide angle camera . It does cost a few bucks more than my other fixed cameras but for what this camera can do it is well worth the price .I was going to buy another PTZ camera but thought I would try this wide angle camera first … I am really happy I did !I do not understand why so many people have problems with the mounting bracket , there are several little allen screws in each joint and they give you a little wrench with the instructions .When I got my first camera I mounted the bracket and it worked fine but when I stepped back and looked at it … well it really looked like a camera hanging off the front of my house and at night it really stood out because of the red night vision lights …. it is widely known that these cameras can not be used through window glass because of the glaring red lights wash out the picture making it useless at night …. here is the fix for using all cameras through window glass … on the bracket end of the camera there is 3 little Philips head screw holding the camera body together (some have 4) remove these screws and slowly pull it apart …. there are 2 little white plastic plugs that go to the front ir light board … one plug has a double wire …. simply unplug it …. it other plug has a single wire and is for the light and motion sensor .. leave it plugged in …. put the screws back in the camera body and now it can be used without the glare problem through glass or plastic … of course it will not have night vision in total darkness but then again it does not take very much ambient light for a great picture ….Everything has trade offs and in some cases where the camera could be stolen or damaged this is better solution than not having it at all … and of course it can always be reversed buy simply plugging it back in …. just incase you want to mount it inside your refrigerator so you can see if you need milk while your out shopping.... I have done this … it actually does work but the picture is in black and white in complete darkness !One of hardest things to do with any camera is to mount it on the front of your house to see … the front of YOUR house ….. my mail box is 50 ft. away and can see the front of my house ….. I ran a 12v extension line to my mailbox drilled a 1" hole in the mailbox and stuffed it inside it with the antenna on it …. it works ! I can see the entire front of my house … it worked so well I ran an ethernet cable to it and put in a second camera so I can see up my dead end road now … just get a 12v power splitter …. I built a bird house for my back yard … it looks really great …. but its not for birds …. it has a cameras in it …. I can see the whole back of my house with one camera …. take an old knife blade and cut a 4-6" line in the grass and bury the ethernet and power cords as far away from the house as needed !With this wide angle lens in my newest Luowice camera I should be able even more of my yard while I lay in my Livingroom and watch my neighbors cut their grass on my 60" tv …. Get a $50.00 ANDROID TV BOX .. plug it into your tv and download the CAMHI app from the play store … if it won't load it don't panic …. download it from an apk . file site on to a flash drive and then run it onto the android box …. you will be able to see all your wifi cameras on your camhi app right on your tv …. with no expensive or complicated software …. it works so well I mounted a 32" tv just for my cameras above the 60" tv …. I can see outside without missing anything on a movie !

Amazing!
For the price this camera is absolutely AMAZING!!! The picture quality is fantastic and I can see far down my block in both directions. I have mine synched to an old IPAD 2 that I was no loner using. I can zoom in/out and move around the camera's viewing area on the screen with my fingers. The IPAD 2 doesn’t handle 1080p and the picture still looks great! I can only imagine what it would look like on a tablet that can handle 1080p. I put a sd card in the camera and can view the recordings directly on the IPAD. At first the recordings were sporadic, the camera would record for an entire hour then only record for 20 minutes, then record for 30 minutes etc. I was able to resolve that issue by changing the time zone on the camera to my time zone (it was initially set to Asia/Hong Kong) AND turning on daylight savings time. When I did that the time synched up with my time and it started recording flawlessly.

Works great but labeling and directions on app for operation are poor
Simple install and set up, the 180 degree works great, no issues after 3 months of use. The labeling on the app for the ipad and phone seem to be on there third translation. Great part is is doesn't use band width on my wi fi until I remotely access it from my apple devices.App not very intuitive, or direct and concise mostly due to wording. If the app had better wording and was a bit more intuitive you have a home run and definitely 5 stars. Plan on hunting and pecking and trial and error to operate the app efficiently.

Good wide angle view but mounting system is not flexible
I used this camera in a Network Video recorder that is ONVIF compatible and installed over a 2.4G wireless network. I did not use it with a smart phone whose market it seems to be aimed at. It was an adequate camera if you need a fisheye or 180 degree view but the mounting system is very limiting in ability to point the camera where you want it. Here are my observations during its initial install and use. -- No Protective hood: There is no hood on the camera to prevent water drops from form o the lens. It says its water proof and for outdoors so it needs a hood to protect the lens. -- Poor mounting system: There is little camera aiming capability with the camera. It is fixed horizontally with no adjustment and vertically it allows 15 degree incremental adjustable changes. The aiming system makes for a problematic installation to get to cover what you want. Other manufacturers cameras (all that ive used) have a ball joint with locking ring which gives large aiming freedom or flexibility. -- The Manual is Smart Phone Focus: The manual is largely meant for smart phone users. There are a few pages in the back that provide some hints to install on a wired network and almost no information on how to install on a wireless network and almost nothing for use with a ONVIF system. -- Camera UID rubbed off: In order to install the camera one must have the unique identifier called UID. On the camera i received it was printed on a paper label attached to the body of the camera and unfortunately it was rubbed off so it was not legible. Installed the phone app allowed me to scan the lable and it then identified the camera and provided the UID which then allowed me to proceed with the installation on a PC. -- To install for ONVIF use one must use their PC software to initially install. In order to install the camera one must install their PC client. The software downloaded from their website and was fairly easy to use to find and install the camera on the network once the UID was found. -- Wireless was more difficult. To install over the home wireless network it was not straitforward and took a bit of struggle but I eventually got it to work again using the manufactures PC software. -- ONVIF worked. I was able to install the camera on an 8 channel NVR in both wired and wireless mode. It was stable and operated without interruption. -- Powering up/down recovered well. WHen powered the camera down and up several times the camera within 1 minute was found again by the NVR and operated. -- Fisheye: It provides a fisheye view. I found the resolution to be on the course side. I have provided comparison pictures of a 90 degree camera and the Luowice 180 degree camera using the same scene for your review..
