Is that just a fancy spatula?" But the reviews hinted at its true power. When it arrived, it felt substantial. The walnut handle is smooth and comfortable, and the stainless steel blade is solid and surprisingly sharp along the edge. It looked like a serious tool, not just another kitchen gadget that would end up collecting dust. Using this thing is incredibly satisfying. It glides across the counter, effortlessly scooping up flour, dough scraps, and anything else in its path. It's like a tiny, efficient bulldozer for your countertop. That sticky ring left by a forgotten glass? Scraped away with ease. Dried-on dough that previously required soaking and intense scrubbing? A few passes with this scraper, and it's gone. My counter is cleaner than it's been in years, and my rags are less abused. But it's not just for cleaning. It's fantastic for dividing dough with precision. Need perfectly portioned rolls? This scraper makes it easy. Transferring chopped vegetables from the cutting board to a pan? Scoop them up and slide them in. Beautiful design and well-weighted. More expensive than most bench scrapers on here but absolutely worth every penny. Easy to use, clean, and comfortable to hold. I use mine to cut dough regularly and it cuts very well. The handle fits my hand perfects. 10/10 would buy again…but I see this lasting a very, very long time.

I do love this bench scraper, but the wood handle wasn't sanded at all. It tore paper towels up when I tried to dry it. It also needed wood oil to help it stand up to being washed. A few minutes with 240 grit did the job, then some cutting board oil. But for the price I expect Lamson to sand and preserve the wood properly. Also the sharp corners of the metal blade may be better rounded. The corners dig into my cutting board if it's angled at all. Maybe this is intentional for "cutting" but I don't think this should be a knife replacement. Mainly I use it to move stuff from my cutting board to a pan or wherever. Maybe dividing dough, but rounded corners wouldn't be an issue even then.

I was really torn between ordering the 4" or the 3" version. Since I mainly wanted to use it for transferring things from the chopping board to the pan, I went with the 4". This bench scraper is gorgeous - I love the dark walnut handle and the rivets. The wood is a little rougher and dryer than I had expected, but it feels good in your grip. A bench scraper is a bench scraper - it's a simple tool, and cheaper models will do, but if you want something that'll be functional AND look handsome in your kitchen, look no further!

Good quality bench knife, nice to be able to feel the wood handle. I do treat mine with oil to keep that feel and keep the wood from drying out. The gauge of the knife is a good balance between being sturdy and light, scrapes fairly even across the whole length.

Very nice. Glad I ignored the critics in this case. Very smooth, and this fulfills my wanting to have wood rather than plastic in my daily handling.

High quality grade. I worked in the food industry for 10+ years, in Italian/greek style pizza and subs. This was a tool I used a lot for various uses. Well made and looks like it’s going to last for a long time. Feels good in the hand. Very happy.

My biggest bugbear was that I had to straighten the front edge so that I could scrape my cutting board. That took a bit of doing even though I have at engineering workshop.
