Words cannot describe
I cannot say enough great things about this album. My husband and I have and will always be fans of Maynard James Keenan and all that he does. A Perfect Circle is an amazing band with amazing lyrics, sound and feel. This album is no exception, by far it is one of the greatest (in my opinion). Such powerful music and lyrics.

Worth the wait
One of my all time favorite albums is now part of my collection on vinyl! I am so happy to have received a pressing of this. It was on backorder for a very long time. As many times as I have listened to these songs, I am hearing a new level of fidelity within each one by experiencing it in this format.

Music is great, actual vinyl was a bad batch of pressing.
Music wise, this album would get a 4 star review. The physical vinyl album gets a 2 star, so I met in the middle. I went through 3 of these and each one was worse than the last. Ended up returning and just getting the digital download.

2nd time's a charm...
Great album- if you can get a good one. My first copy arrived with concealed damage - obviously occurring at time of manufacture. Disc 1 side a was particularly damaged...check carefully. Side b of disc 2 had a bad scratch first track. Also appears discs were pressed on different machines as there is a hell of a lot more surface noise on disc 1. These are all things indicative of quality control problems. At 25 bucks plus a pop these things should be PERFECT...

Mer de Noms is good music
I've been listening to an undisclosed FM station on the east coast over the Internet and they give airplay to many bands that aren't played here in CowTown (because every danged radio station here in CowTown in owned by Clear Channel Communications ---- CCCP1, CCCP2 and CCCP3 are our radio stations, a joke for those of you from Cold War Soviet Union). Quite often I hear music that peaks the interest and "A Perfect Circle" is one such group. The sound is similar to "TooL", but with much better guitar licks, IMO. The song I heard on the Internet broadcast was...well I forgot what it was but it was on this alblum. After listening to the 30 second snips of each song hear, I downloaded all the MP3s of "Mer de Noms". I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Awesome!
For months my boyfriend had talked about wanting this on Vinyl, so I finally ordered it for him for Valentines. Package was scheduled to arrive on Valentines day, the day before I got an e-mail that it had been delayed due to bad weather in Northern Alabama which was quite a bummer. However package arrived later that afternoon and I couldn't have been happier! My boyfriend was absolutely speechless when he opened it the next morning, he actually kissed it!

Great, sparse, musical
Like most people who have APC discs, I first became interested via Tool, and like most reviewers here, I must warn against making comparisons: liking Tool will not necessarily mean you'll like APC. That said, I am one of those who likes both. The music is sparse in many of these songs--there is space between the notes, which I like. And I always admire an artist--in this case MJK--is not a one-trick pony. This band shows Maynard has more than one musical side and more than one way to express himself, and that is an admirable thing.

The first & best album!
In a Sea of Names, A Perfect Circle will always stand out above all others.
