Could not be happier with the purchase. Awesome quality, beautiful, elegant and stylish product, money well spent. Mainly use it for herbs and leafy vegetables to do green juices. Had up to a quarter of cup excess water ( but let's be realistic it's not gonna get your salads completely dry it's a salad spinner not a salad dryer:)) ) Before buying I went on the YouTube they have a good demo All parts are very durable. You can serve salad for guests right in the stainless steel bowl.

A couple of pumps makes this spin fast, dries lettuce well and is easy to clean. I love the stainless steel bowl especially with the rubber grip on the bottom so it doesn't slide (my old one doesn't have that so we have to hold it with one hand or do it in the sink). They send recipes in email, an extra lid for storing in the fridge and the salad fork/spoon is a nice addition. I gave it as a gift for my daughter. I have an old Kenmore that is still going strong and I find myself wishing it would break so I can get this one for myself. It is really nice and a great value for everything you get with it. Other's like it cost way more and don't include the extras. I'm sorry but I will not spend $50 to $100 on a salad spinner. Even this was more than I wanted to spend but the bowl and the extras were what sold me the most. My daughter didn't have a good mixing bowl now she can use this for mixing too and she now has a good salad serving fork/spoon. The customer service is awesome. They contact you by email to see if everything was good with your purchace. I really don't understand how it doesn't have a 5 star review across the board. If you recieved a defective item they would replace it. I have to wonder if the people commenting about it not spinning fast enough are doing it right. Don't overfill and just a few quick pumps and it's good to go. The more pumps the faster it goes. If you overfill it it won't dry as well. Just like overfilling a washing machine.I am very pleased with the product and the company!

So, I have used the OXO Stainless Steel salad spinner before and I was happy with it until it broke after a year.I was about to purchase same one again when I thought, I will try this and I am more than pleased.The difference with the OXO and The Pykal is -1. The Bowl with this is much more sturdier and grips well to the surface.2. The Colander basket is way stronger. Not at all flimsy.3. The spin speeds are much faster and as a result salads are dryer.4. The Tongs that come Free are high quality.I see some others have commented they are not getting spin speeds and my suggestion is to do what they say in instruction sheet and their emails.The main thing is to follow instructions as per the instruction sheet i.e. Dont overload and Push the lever RAPIDLY and your salads will be dry enough!!

Okay, so I had an old OXO salad spinner. So old the plastic was turning yellow. Even though this old salad spinner was still working perfectly well, I decide it's time for a new one. Enter the Pykal with stainless steel bowl. Now, I will admit it was the stainless steel bowl that sold me on this spinner at twice the price. I thought if the spinner turned out to be a dud, at least I would have a nice stainless bowl. But I digress....this spinner is w-aa-ay over-engineered. Really, people? So many parts!?!? It's a s.a.l.a.d. s.p.i.n.n.e.r, not a Mars landing hovercraft. It doesn't spin as fast as the ol' OXO. It doesn't get greens any drier than the ol' OXO. It is a little bigger and holds more volume of greens.All in all, although I feel like a chump because I spent nearly 40 bucks for a s.a.l.a.d. s.p.i.n.n.e.r., I say it doesn't do its JOB as well as the old OXO. I don't even like the looks of it, but then over-design is one of my pet peeves. Give me simple, functional and well-designed any day. And does it fit in the same spot as my old OXO spinner?? No-o-o-o, it's 1/2 inch too tall! Plus all the emails and exclusions from the super-duper Pykal warranty did nothing but make me suspicious. Just sayin'....Okay, this rant has gone on way too long. Caveat emptor.

My household eats salads daily and so having an excellent spinner is a high priority for me. I grew up using a high quality string pull spinner and was hesitant to switch to a spinner with lever action but after reading the reviews and being attracted to the stainless steel bowel I thought I 'd give it a try.I have been incredibly pleased with the spinner. Its easy to use and clean. I also use it as a storage container (keeping the lettuce in the green basket) in the fridge for the unused lettuce and it keeps it nice and crisp and fresh for 1-2 days after washing. It cuts down on my salad prep time and although the instructions say to spin the lettuce in small batches I have not had any problem doing a whole large head of lettuce in one spin.Pykal customer service lives up to their stated goals as well. I travelled with my spinner over Thanksgiving (thats how much we like it and I was in charge of making the salad) and the bowel was accidentally left behind when I returned home. I contacted Pykal about getting a replacement bowel and they helped me use my warranty to get a replacement spinner. In a world of increasingly low quality, disposable products being pushed by sellers with no care for the item or the consumer, its refreshing and satisfying to have products from companies like Pykal.

Update, Pykal did reach out to me with steps on how to register my product, then take pics of problem to email to them, then they would discuss making it right. Prior to doing all this, I found the pin and was able to put back in. Just a warning---nothing holds this pin in place, it balances between two sides, if it is knocked out it'll be hard to find as it is less than the width of a fingernail on your pinky! product works again, overall i am satisfied with product. Worked great for 4 months. Now pin that makes lever on top move has disappeared, rendrrring this useless. I have contacted Pykal since there is a 1yr warranty. We'll see how response goes and I will update review.
