Q: Is the inlet center or outlet? also what is the difference between offset in/offset out and offset/center mufflers? drone? airflow?

muffler is reversible. offset is from where the pipe comes out of muffler left or right or center same as inlet. no drone noise from this muffler means Exhaust drone is primarily the result of sound waves traveling through the air and vibration that is transferred through a vehicle's frame, body and components.no restrictions of air flow on this muffler. I installed this muffler on a Ford f150 v6 sounds great has a nice little growl sounds like stock muffler but a little kick. I like 👍

It is 2 1/2” inlet and 2 1/2” outlet.

Q: Have any of you noted these getting louder over time in use?

I had it on my 2007 Jeep Wrangler for about 5 years before I sold the Jeep. The sound changed after about a couple hundred miles. After that it stayed the same. Louder than stock, but with a nice tone. Much quieter than the glass pack I had on it.
