Super loud, sensitive volume adjustability, Xtra Batteries.
So first off, i want to make clear how loud these are. If you own the first ones with no volume adjustability or the Yolo ones from wish and others, these beat them all! Double the sound. Literally, that circle on the front, is the speaker. So waaaay louder than the other similar ones. Second, the volume adjustability is super sensitive. SUPER! I love it because you can practically adjust by 1% at a time. Super low, to super loud. With a very slight move of the knob. 3rd The light is bright enough but cmon, i bought it for the noise. 4th, is the strap. I can fit it around my 10ft Okuma battle cat, my 8ft heavy rippin lips rod, and a skinny 7ft Berkley fusion, as well as my 6'6 ML crappie pole. Super versatile on fitting most of any rid choice out there. 5th is the switch that sets the alarm off. Way smoother than the other models and has more tension in my opinion. Along with a bigger deadzone, it makes it easier to keep you line a little tighter or if its a windy day, youll be good. 6th thing is the xtra batteries. Both alarms came with batteries installed and in the pouch it has a pack of 10 extra. These are very good for the price and the main thing i love is rhe volume adjustability. For quiet nights catfishing around homes here out in south texas its perfect. And if im camping out, i will turn it all the way up so it can wake me if i knod off lol. Great product, great price, does what its supposed to, i would recommend strongly over the others.

Garbage When It Arrived But....
Upon opening the included padded bag I noticed the logos on both alarms fell off in my hand. When I took the first alarm out it literally fell into multiple pieces on my lap. Neither alarm worked at first until I realized they had the batteries in backwards to keep them from discharging. (usually there is plastic tabs to pull out). No big deal but I had to reverse engineer one alarm to reassembled the other. The very small spring that engages the alarm was lost and then found several times in the process. Screw hole was completely stripped out. This was the last of these available when I purchased. Either I am very unlucky or was sold a returned item. For the $11 I wasn't going to go through a return. I turned the spring upside down so it would not be so sensitive in current. I river fish for trophy catfish so not in need of the sensitivity of the alarm. I glued and clamped it back together, added nonskid rubber on it so it would not spin on my poles, glued logos back on both, and lost 2 hours of my life in the process but it works. The other does also but goes off with the slightest current so when I have time I'll have to modify it as well. 10 minutes into first using this I was pan fishing 50 yrds from my catfish poles and it went off. That day I got two nice blues on alarms and skunked with the poles w/o alarms. The volume control is a great feature, perhaps the only reason I might consider purchasing this again. All of the other inexpensive alarms I have are just too darn loud. This one is not quick and easy to setup on my poles. The strap has to be really tight to hold on, even with my rubber seat modification. It is difficult to remove with one hand after hookset and while fighting the fish. Inconvenient but not a deal breaker. If I were targeting carp, trout, or panfishing in dead still water then out of the box this would be a great alarm for the money. I don't appreciate having to rebuild one of them but it works now and I probably won't be taking the time to modify the sensitivity of the other since there are others available for similar price that fit my needs well, except for volume control... I really like the volume control on these. If it weren't for that feature this would have been a much different review of my experience. Purchased another type of Fishnu alarm (clip on) and everything was as expected, works well and, of course, wakes the dead whenever it goes off.

Anyone giving this product a bad review either received a defective product or lacks the intelligence to operate a spoon. I can't tell you it's better than every product out there since this is the only one I've tried, but I've used them quite a bit over the last summer and had no issues that can be blames on the product. I did have one of the volume buttons come off but that could have been because of where i had them stored in a tightly packed crate with other heavy items. I camped about 20-30 yards from the waters edge and had no problem hearing the alarm upon bite. Obviously the effectiveness of these are going to depends on the calmness of the water. In higher winds you may get a false alarm, but if you know anything about fishing, it's easy to detect and make a slight adjustment on the tension. I also let it sit out in the rain for nearly an entire day while fishing at it still works.

Great but cheaply made
Don’t get me wrong I love them. And the adjustable volume is amazing as you don’t need to let the entire lake know you have a fish on (or maybe you do)... my issue was the volume knob broke within days and now inoperable. So great when they work like intended.Update. 7/19. Company took return and sent me new ones. Changed rating to 5

Volume control is the nicest part
The major problem is that it is a little difficult to keep in place. It likes to rotate on the pole. Clips would make this item perfect.Other than that, it works nice and the volume control is very nice.

Works great when fishing in calm waters
The volume control is nice if you're fishing in a peaceful area and don't want to disturb anyone around you. There is no way to adjust the tension which is why I only gave it 4 out 5 stars. Great for fishing for small fish in calm waters but definitely not for plunking.

They work but they’re a pain.
Kind of a hassle to put onto the rod and reset every time you cast out a fresh piece of bait. I would just buy some cheap clip on bells and use that instead. They do the same thing without the hassle and cheap electronic components.

Hardest thing is getting the fish on the hook
Love this little gadget you can set it to light up almost no sound or wake the dead.
