Delicious!
I rarely feel the need to write reviews. However, I was so impressed with this product that I felt I should. It is definitely on the expensive side, but worth the money if used sparingly (for example, I wouldn't use 1/2 cup of this in my steak marinade I'd stick with the cheap stuff). I never knew that soy sauce could taste this good!

You Know, It Does Make A Difference
To begin, I am not a connoisseur of soy sauce. However, I do love sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese food, along with Asian food generally. Like most Americans I've never given much thought to this critical component. So when one of my sons gave me this as a birthday present I smiled, a bit confused, and said "Thanks!". But now that I and my family have had this premium soy sauce, there's no going back. Wow, what a difference. We did a side-by-side with a couple of well know brands the we have, including a gluten free brand, and there's simply no comparison. We all picked this premium soy sauce every time. It has a much fuller bodied taste, making the others seem "watered down". So, if even I can taste the difference, so will you. If you are a connoisseur, I'd love your opinion.

A Deeply Flavorful Shoyu
I asked my financial adviser what was the best soy sauce (his family owns restaurants) and his response was perfect for a financial adviser. He said, "Get the free packets at Panda Express." But after reading a few reviews on a few web sites, this was one that rose to the top of many lists. One taste and you will see why. There are so many notes of smoke and umami, and so much less salt, that you will use this by drops. It's so far removed from grocery-store soy sauce that you will never go back to the old stuff.

A True “Sipping” Soy Sauce
Even before I broke the seal on the bottle I could smell the wonderful malty aroma. It tastes like soy sauce but the flavor is highly nuanced and complex. And not too salty, the real maltyness can come thru. Compared with the 3 other high end soy sauces I bought this is the least expensive but most aeromatic and flavorful. The others have so much salt that the flavor is overwhelmed by saltiness.Don’t tell my wife but late on some evenings I can be found with the refrigerator door open sipping this with a tablespoon.

Excellent, nutty and bold
If you like soy sauce (I do), you will like this sauce. Well made, aged, excellent, nutty and bold. Well worth your time/effort to add to your sauce library. Came safely covered in bubble wrap with the original Japanese packaging.

Artisan Soy Sauce, so good!
This soy sauce is really good but should be used in special dishes. This is not your everyday soy sauce. I have used in special dressings and sauces. It is so worth its price. Really enhances what ever you put it on or in. I highly recommend you try it, you wont regret it. Promise.

Does not taste the same
This batch doe snot posses the rich flavor that we have become accustomed to. Taste like over the counter soy sauce. Very disappointing.

Taste and value
Love the taste--a tad pricey, but then again, like an aged Scotch, Rum, etc. the taste reflects the care in making and the time to store and age. A decent amount for the price.
