They work great
My 97 year old Mom is completely deaf in one ear, and the other ear isn’t too good, so she has trouble hearing the tv. These work great. I also like that I can use either regular batteries or rechargeable ones. They’re soft on her ears, adjustable, and she has no problem navigating the volume control. I tested them out and the sound quality is excellent

I Love my Sony WHRF400R Wireless Headphones
I received my Sony WHRF400R wireless headphones several days ago. They are very high quality and I believe they are reasonably priced. They were easy to set up, The recharging device easily connected to my Sony 65” TV and the recharging station fit behind doors in my entertainment center cabinet. I easily went into the settings on my TV to change the audio settings so I could hear both the headphones and be able to turn the TV down for anyone reading or sleeping in the same room. The headphones charged in a few hours and I have used them every night for around 2-4 hours since I received them. They are lite weight and fit great. The sound quality is very clear and high quality. I have read that some have had trouble recharging them but I have not. I make sure the sound is turned off on the headphones before I put them on the recharging device and I always make sure the headphones are matched up properly to the recharger. When I do those two things the red light comes on to begin recharging. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to watch TV or listen to music on the TV without disturbing someone else who may be reading or sleeping in the same area of the house.

Unbelieveable great
I had a set of Sony head phones for watching TV as I am very hard of hearing.and after a year or two they quit working. I thought I would save a few dollars by buying Avantree. That was a very bad choice. They were not engineered to be comfortable over my ears hearing aids and glasses and sound quality was horrible. Yesterday I received my new Sony. Astounding the difference in quality. The Sony is very comfortable and sound quality is unmatched. Don't brother trying to save a few dollars, buy the Sony WH-RF400. However I did buy the 3 year warranty furnished by Asurion. The quality and usefulness of that is yet to be determined.

Sporadic performance
What a disappointment! I have alway thought Sony produced good products...until now. The headphones link to a audio device via a RCA plug or a standard headphone connection. I wanted to link this to my TV through fiber optics. I bought a converter that goes from fiber optic to RCA . The set up was fairly easy as well as the wireless linking from the charging stand to the headphones. I followed the instructions to charge the headphones on the stand until the red charging light went out, meaning the headphones were fully charged. When the headphones are removed from the charging stand, the stand then links to the head phones and starts sending an audio signal to the headphones indicated by a green light on the stand. That happened the first time after setup, with some delay. Then two more times....with some effort like tapping on the springs loaded charging cover with my finger. It is a spring load cover that goes down when the headphones are placed in the cradle for charging. I wanted to test the headphones this AM, no linking....I went through the checks. Making sure the fiber optics was sending, converter had power and was set to correct settings. I would think the linking should be a normal process. Sound quality was ok, there was a low level rushing sound the last time I tested them. Not sure if this is from the converter or the headphones. Plus the headphones and stand are cheaply constructed which makes me think the internal working parts are also cheaply made.

Not Bluetooth
I generally like Sony products, but was disappointed that this set of headphones labeled "Bluetooth" were incapable of receiving signals from my Bluetooth equipped phone, or my Bluetooth equipped lap top. In the troubleshooting guide there was no mention of the Bluetooth function or why it might not be working. So I have assume it is not a feature beyond the label. Also, I found that when I plugged the headphone transmitter into the audio output of my TV, the TV was silenced with sound coming only through the headphones. If you only want wireless headphones for watching TV alone without blasting noise througout the house, these are probably suitable. If you want wireless headphones for listening to music with your smart phone, these are not for you.

Excellent Product.
I'm a woodworker who likes to listen to Forensic Files, documentaries and music when in my shop. I have found that the headphones are comfortable and provide excellent sound quality. The unit was easily connected to my TV. I quickly found that while listening to my TV, the earphones provide enough ear/noise protection from the loud sounds of tools like jointers, planers, and saws to preclude the need for additional ear protection.A quick note for you hobbyist woodworkers out there....Don't buy noise canceling headphones...you need to be able to hear the sound a running cutting machine that can remove important body parts ;-)
