Great tea, brewing can be an art and learning experience. I find with the ripe / dark puerh, the first isn’t as rich as subsequent servings and additional brews get darker depending on how you brew it. I use a french press and small amounts so I can rebrew without getting too much caffeine before the serving is used up.

My first go round with decent tea, my advice, let it steep for at least 40 minutes minimum. This type of tea I’ve only had from my neighborhood coop, so I’ve decided to buy a brick,and so far it’s my favorite and everyone else’s too, I use honey as a light sweetener

It doesn’t taste good. Terrible flavor

If you like Menghei puerh, you probably already know that Dayi is the benchmark. This is a very delicious shu with enough age to be quite mellow. Maybe not quite the best quality Dayi, but close enough to be highly recommended to lovers of Menghei shu puerh.

So far this product is the best ripe PU'ER that I can find in the U.S.A. Tea leaves are clean; the color of drink is beautifully deep amber; and the taste is rich and to the tee.

I had pure tea from Meng factory before so I was familiar with the taste. But this brick is odd. It gives very bitter taste. The brick looks very fresh and is not black like all the puer tea I am used to. It has more green fresh look to it. It produced very bitter tea. It wasn't spoiled tea taste just bitter. I don't know what happen. Very bitter. It feels like it need to mold up couple more years. I have 2 of these. Going into Trash can. And I am the type that usually drink the poorest tea to the last speckle.I ordered 7572 along with this and 7572 produced puer tea I am familiar with. Not this one.**Update I had ordered 2 pack and second pack is same taste. Bitter and causes stomachache. So it is this specific blend taste that my body isn't agreeing with.
