Richard Hemming Milliners Straw Needles Size 9

I haven't used a needle from this package yet, but I am using a needle from an identical package purchased by my friend from Amazon. Works fine.It's the needle I need for a wool embroidery project.

The needles themselves are very good quality but they did not have a large eye as stated in the description. The “ large eye” was also printed on the package in the photo of the item.I cannot thread this without using a needle threader. I noticed another reviewer had the same issue - not large eyed as stated.

Son perfectas para esas puntadas que involucran enrollar el hilo en la aguja como los nudos franceses, cast-on stitch o nudo bullion. Ya que al ser ella toda del mismo tamaño: desde el ojal hasta la punta, permite deslizar fácilmente la aguja através del hilo enrollado. Yo adquirí la de tamaño 1 que es la de ojal más grande que me permite trabajar con hilos más gruesos. No han perdido su filo, ni presentan signos de sarro a pesar que las tengo desde hace 3 años

I have been looking for size 5 Milner sewing needles in a pack by myself. Happy I found them. My hands are not the best and the length and eye size are perfect. I use them to embroider and sew the binding on quilts.

I bought these after reading a recommendation for using them in hand stitching quilt binding to the back of the quilt. I didn't find the eye of the needle to be larger than other needles I regularly use, but they were very sharp and slender and made picking up fewer threads of the binding much easier. This made my stitches practically invisible and the finished product looked professional! The needles were very strong in spite of being so thin and long, and I had no trouble with them bending while sewing with them. I'm sure these would work well for many applications, and I will try them with needle turn applique soon.

Thin enough to pass through fabric easily, and yet I’m able to thread these! I’ve tried many and these are the best.

6 strands of floss fit nicely in the eye.

Fast shipping. I like the larger eyes of longer Milward's #10 milliners needles better, but the cheaper needles bend out of shape easily. Richard Hemming needles don't bend.
