Size:1 Pound (16 Ounce) Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3, an essential vitamin that plays a role in brain function and joint and skin health. It should not be confused with niacin, another form of B3; though the two can be used interchangeably for certain purposes, they have different benefits for others. The body converts niacin into niacinamide, and can also produce it from an amino acid called tryptophan. Niacinamide won’t cause the characteristic skin flushing associated with niacin supplementation.

Doesn't dissolve in water
Hi, bought this but cannot get it to dissolve in water. Not sure if this is normal or not? B3 supposed to be easily soluble in water? Will change the rating if found my understanding is wrong.

The Flush Is REAL!!!
I just received the B3 and I got to megadose with [for healing purposes]. I've been taking B-Complex (a liquid combination of all the B-vitamins) but as I said, I got the B3 for healing purposes. I started with 500 mg last night (working up to 1000, twice daily) mixed in some water with my liquid Vitamin A and powdered Vitamin C...and...whhooaaaa!!! I knew about the flush but d*mn, I didn't expect that!! I was laying down asleep and suddenly, it felt like my skin was on fire! It lasted for about an hour and then it died down but still lingered in my legs for a couple of hours. My guy thought I had been bitten by something because the skin of my extremities were puffed up/raised and red! Soooo yea, I'm still going to keep it and use it but I think I'll try half or a 1/3rd of that dosage over the course of the whole day. I don't really want to try the Niacinamide but I might once I'm done with this bag. Just be ready for the flush!!

Error in labeling! Caution!
This is actually the flush type Niacin (nicotinic acid) and not Niacinamide! I wanted Niacinamide because it does not cause the flush. I am keeping it for another person who likes the flush. This is labeled incorrectly, something that is a serious error. If you examine the package you can see that it is actually Nicotinic Acid, a form of niacin, but the description on Amazon and the product are not the same! Beware.
