Q: What is the warranty on these boots

I had some Hi-tec leather boots and they went faulty just over a year they were great about it gave me a £50 voucher they cost £65 in a sale and they sent the boots back so I mended the boot myself the leather had split on a seam as did the other foot a couple of years later. Bought another pair direct from them for £85 -£50 voucher reduced from £130 so, therefore, £35 and I still have both pairs of boots 5 years on. The good thing is the newer ones don't have the same seam so they will last as long as the soles I think. The original pair don't have long left but they are so comfortable I keep on fixing them.

Q: Is the leather really poor quality? Do they all end up with cracks? Or has this been caused by the leather not being looked after properly?

I have owned these since May 2019 and the leather still looks really good with no discernable cracks or flaking of the chrome outer layer. They are not used everyday, but are looked after with leather food and waterproofer about every 2 months. The only issue I have had was when one of the lace eyelets came off easily (the rivet holding it broke) when tying the laces. A good pair of boots which I find very comfortable.
