Can't recommend
I purchased this after reading other reviews and recommendations; it worked well for the initial few days but later started with many issues. One prominent issue is it does not fit properly, has a gap and loses connection intermittently. I lost connection while presenting during a meeting and decided to return it. Not a reliable product to consider.

Conflicting Feelings
I really like the form factor of this adapter: it has all the ports I need, I love the "sidecar" design instead of having a dongle, it's much sleeker and less messy, and it's about 50% less than the most expensive I've seen. However, I'm not sure how good it is on the electronics side. I was just using it yesterday to support my full set up - monitor, ring light, external webcam, and laptop power - and the camera stopped working, and I got an error message saying "please remove the accessory that's taking too much power." So I'm not sure which accessory that is, but it could be this device. Haven't decided yet whether/how I'm going to troubleshoot, or return it. Anyway, seemed like a valuable thing to bring to purchaser's attention (not to mention the vendor's). Good luck.

Good concept, but broke within weeks
I wanted to like this but it broke within a couple weeks. Definitely not good for use while traveling as it sticks out of the side of your computer, using bother side ports. A minor bump to it cause it to no longer function. Unfortunately I can’t recommend this since it doesn’t hold up to minor bumps, although the concept is good. If you’re strictly using this at home and nothing will come close to it, you may be okay

Fit is not too good.
Product looks great, but the fit, when plugged in is not too good. The dual USB-C plugs are about 2mm too long and preventing a secure and fully flush fit to the MacBook. I feel this compromises the computer jacks and the plugs, making it susceptible to bending or evening breaking the port connectivity. Picture shows the adapter plugged in all the way, forcing it as hard as I could. When compared to Apple USB-C plugs, you can see these are about 2mm longer than the Apple plugs. Otherwise it seems to work fine.

It's not the best i've used
I purchased this product because I need it for my mac. Like everyone in the review section of this thread. I just wish it was a little tougher and could handle two hard drives plug in at the same time. I have to use one hard drive at a time but other than that it's fine. I will definitely be purchasing a different style so my work flow will be better.

Worked for a little then became flimsy and stopped working
Like many other reviews here have said before, it worked well after first receiving the product. However, after using it for a while (not too much longer, a few weeks maybe), it became super flimsy. It started "wiggling", which then caused it to loose the connection to my laptop. Eventually to the point where it completely stopped working and became essentially useless. I ended up buying the actual port adapter from mac. So I won't recommend this product.

Not compatible with case - Cords will pull it out
Very sharp looking. Very low functioning. This will not work with a laptop case which with a new MacBook you will surely want on.The adapted only powered my external monitor some of the time.It did look sleek attached but unfortunately did not hold its position at all. Any cord torque (see pictures) from my hdmi, usb, charger, etc would slightly pull the adapter out losing power to my screen and making me undock and reposition the adapter constantly. The only way this works is if you are sitting it flat on your desk and using it for usb or SD only.

Will not work with a Macbook Pro
What should have been an elegant solution to the problem of Apple severely reducing the connectivity of their computers. This was bought to connect to an external monitor via HDMI, and it actually worked for a while until an Apple update meant it was no longer supported. It wouldn't connect to the external monitor or charge any peripherals after that. A trip to tech support and an ugly $70 Apple dongle later and things are working again. Not sure where to split the blame here, Apple or the manufacturer of this product, but it doesn't work.
