Low-tech. Excellent. Two slow pumps then 8-10 quick pumps produces super creamy foam with regular cow's milk or 1/2 & 1/2. Didn't try with lower fat milk or alternative milk products. Easy to clean.

You will not be disappointed
I bought this because I'm on a home made Espresso kick. I started out with one of the battery operated whisks. They're OK but this frother is in a different league. The whisk is like high school football and this frother is the NFL. If you use big mugs you'll appreciate the 800ml size. You really can't do two mugs at one time but you can work up a very thick froth in seconds. I'm very happy with the purchase. 👍👍

Works perfectly and fun to use!
I use almond milk and coconut oil in my coffee and, of course, they must be blended--especially the very hard coconut oil as it comes from the refrigerator. I wasn't sure a battery-powered frother could handle this so chose the manual one and I'm so glad I did. I pour almond milk almost to the "min" (minimum) line on the inside of the pitcher, then add a couple of chunks of coconut oil (2t.+/-), then hot coffee to just above the "max" (maximum) line....so, not a whole lot of coffee, but enough to melt the coconut and blend all together.....then I pump till the mixture "feels" (resists) thick. I pour this into my coffee mug which is about 1/2 to 2/3 full of coffee....stir it all together and it's perfect. I usually have"froth" left over and refill my cup with it. You need to practice to know how much you need of everything, how full tofill the pitcher (certainly not much above the MAX line or it leaks around the edge), how hard/long to pump, etc., but it's very simple! I was surprised that it frothed at all since it is so thin to begin with (coffee and almond milk) but the oilreally froths! Even without oil or fat, I suspect that it froths just fine because of the great mechanism....two fine meshthings and a very sturdy rod to plunge them up and down...a great product! I highly recommend this for frothing!

Works good.
Simple, low-tech, and super easy to clean. I froth cold half-n-half mostly and it is awesome. Occasionally will froth soy milk, and it froths so-so. I have tried to froth almond milk for the wife, but it doesn't do much. But neither did our steamer, so I think that almond milk is just not too frothable. For me, it being a simple device that is easy to keep clean was the best part. I was looking at the electric ones, but the comments about cleaning them influenced me to try this. Way better results than the steamer wand on my espresso machine. Would recommend this product for making latte.

It works
This frother did exactly what it was supposed to do. You pump a few times and it frothes the milk. Make sure the milk is between 140-160 degrees for best results.

Functional
Does it’s job very well! The only issue is the sound it makes. You’re basically scraping metal against metal every time you pump but hey, at least you get super frothy milk as the result!

Sweet and Simple
It's easy to use. It does a great job frothing milk or cream or half and half, whether you warm the milk, or not. Needs no batteries. It doesn't consume any more power than what it takes to push and pull a knob 20-30 times, or so. It's easy to clean. It makes a great latte. What's not to like?

I don't love it just yet
I don't know if it froths, or whips, but it's OK. I don't love it just yet, but I'm thinking proper usage or using it for foam may be a learning curve. It's really cute though and I like how it looks sitting on the counter.
