An absolute must-watch *by S***Y on July 8, 2019* On this recent kick to expand my anime collection from 3 titles to ??? titles, I came across this, and I'm surprised there aren't more reviews. I think the synopsis in the product description serves well enough (did for me at least), but in addition to the body horror storyline also comes some good drama and twists, and a romance angle that's actually very well executed! Of course you get some sprinkles of humor here and there, too, but the horror, drama, and romance are the big players here. The last episode serves as something of an epilogue at first with a bunch of exposition and grandstanding about one of the themes that's hinted at throughout the story hammering home one of their concepts in case it flew over your head, but also ties up a loose end and gives quite a good ending! If those three elements combined, layered with some decent action over a bed of good animation and great music appeals to you, you owe it to yourself to give this one a shot. Yes as mentioned it's not gore-heavy even though the premise definitely sets up the opportunity to be, but that's okay!
