It works well. Shows device is hardwired in settings and saves messing about removing and re-charging the battery every few months. Device gets hot but then so do most transformers and so far hasn’t impacted on performance. Al in all good value. Easy to install if you’ve got a mains power supply near enough.

Absolutely perfect, it took about a week for her doorbell to register that it was wired instead of wireless and about another week for the battery to show a trickle charge but I now have a full battery and a working Ring 2 doorbell. The instructions don't mention that when it's fully wired you have a constant white light around the button but it was a pleasant feature to have.

You need to be aware that if you do not have an existing mains wired doorbell that you will need to buy a compatible plug in transformer which Ring do not seem to offer in UK. Bell works fine only problem being time lag in that by the time you have been notified a caller is at your door and accessed app on your phone the caller has gone. Also need to pay £2.50 per month if you want to be able to access videos recorded by doorbell.

I have ordered around 9 of these and all stopped working after weeks or few months and had to replace all of these. These power supplies are NOT FIT to be sold. Many make a large humming noise and over heat.One i had to replace came apart when i unplugged it from customers socket due to HEAt it had melted fixings!!! No word back from seller as yet!!! DO NOT BUY. Voltage is alao 16.6v not 18vac

We had a Ring doorbell operating on a battery but after a while it became a chore to keep dismantling it to charge the battery. An electrician put in a power socket outlet near the door bell and the charger plug is now the power supply. So good not to have to take the bell off the wall every week. I reckon it has paid for itself in a month.

Works great with the ring doorbell so you don’t need to connect it directly to the fuse box, easy to install.Has a good constant connection to avoid loss of power

chime is slow sometimes up to 10 seconds behind doorbell push. There is no way to turn off infrared so if you have any lights picture is complete white out and faces etc un identifiable. Support is not good with 25 minute wait and drop outs. seems there have been promises to fix infrared but nothing done.

This is just the power transformer for a Ring doorbell. It works as advertised although pretty much any transformer would work if you know the voltage required and you know what you’re doing. If not then stick to this.
