Keep Calm and Bake Cupcakes

Great recipes

I was given this book as a gift and it sounded amazing because I love to bake cupcakes. However, the recipes all seem lacking and they really are missing the ingredients for amazingly light and fluffy cupcakes. You can't make decent cupcakes without salt and it seems like none of the recipes call for salt which doesn't make sense. Also - a lot of them don't call for any extract, even in the frosting which means that they won't have that depth of flavor that they should have and vanilla frosting would only taste like sweet butter. I noticed flipping through the book that most of the pictures show flat cupcakes instead of a beautiful domed top. I'd recommend looking elsewhere for amazing cupcake recipes.

I love all the creative and inspirational ideas of making and decorating these delightful cupcakes. Super easy to make and nice that there is a photo for each recipe!
