We put the parts in a sink with detergent, wipe with a soapy cloth, rinse and sanitize. It takes about 5 minutes.We use it as a cheese grater. The base is sealed. You can out in an empty sink and wipe it down. **Q: Does this unit come with any adapter, blades, slicers, grater of any sort?
