Not SUPER-hydrophobic.
OK so I've been looking for a super-hydrophobic coating for glass, both for cars and to keep from having to squeegee the shower glass. Not having much luck, but the reason I mention it is I've tried just about everything. This product is not super-hydrophobic, it's hydrophobic, yes, and works OK. In my opinion, you should NOT use the words "Super-hydrophobic" unless you are. Look on YouTube for examples of what super-hydrophobic is, sheds water and even honey at a shallow angle. I followed the instructions 100%, the product goers on and wipes easily, much easier than rainX or similar products, which require buffing. The end result, even after two or three coats is glass that sheds water, but droplets remain, even at 90 degrees (vertical). I will update my review with my car application when I've had a chance to test it in some rain at various speeds, but windshield glass with rain sitting on the driveway is not that impressive, same as Rain-X or other hydrophobic treatments. Given the price is astronomical by comparison, I am not rating this product very highly.

Pretty cool stuff
hmm where do i start.First it does harden your clear coat and makes it smoother then before.water breaks into very round droplets if it doesnt roll off. And because of that the it leaves a pretty bad dirty water mark but it easily comes off. This isnt a true super hydrophobic if it was then virtually no water would be on it. look up super hydrophobic on youtube.I bought this mainly because the product NeverWet is taking forever releasing. (they only sell the plunger right now... -____-)Its key to make sure your car is extremely clean and smooth for this product to be optimal. What i did was wash and dry the car then drove it in the garage to claybar it.The clay bar insures that there is nothing on clear coat.i parked it in the garage to prevent bugs/dirt landing on it during the spraying process and to prevent the wind from blowing spray away.this came with a mouth cover so make sure you use it and dont breath this stuff in.overall im pleased with the product.

Disappointing
Sprayed it on four different parts of my car, leaving other parts "as is." Sprayed some parts once, others twice. Sprayed it on the wheels and found out it should work - got some of it on the brakes and the front ones really sounded awful for a few moments - until the stuff wore off. There is a distinct (yet very fine) mist/haze that the product leaves on the surface, so I made sure to follow the instructions and do a quick wipe for two of the parts I did, the other two I left unwiped for comparison. After the first rain (about a week later), and after one of the wheels got a leak of some black liquid on it, I realized that Nano Diamond Shield seems to make absolutely no difference whatsoever compared to the untreated parts of my car. The raindrops were equally well distributed and sticking on both the treated and untreated parts. In fact, the front windshield that I treated with Invisible Glass instead had very nice beading, but the rear window that I treated with Nano Diamond Shield did not.I really wanted to prove those who said this product doesn't work wrong. However, I end up being extremely disappointed with my purchase. Waste of money and effort. Not recommended.

Actually worth the steep price
I generally shy away from carnival of car products out there (they tend to wreak of carney style claims and advertising). I love my cars, and I don't like putting unknowns on them. Someone I trust recommended this to me as a replacement for Rain-X type products, and frankly I'm glad they did. Rain-X is a pain to apply, a pain to remove, and doesn't last very long. This is none of those things. Spray, wipe off easily, and...I am now reviewing this product one year after I applied it to my car. And holy smokes, it works. I still wash and wax the rest of the car, but even that stays cleaner between washes. The windshield was the big surprise: water still beads off, not as well as the day I applied it, but as well as a freshly rain-x'd windshield. The idea that some spray on product with a classy name like "NaNoDiAmOnDsHiElD" is still doing anything positive at all after a year is just astounding.I will be buying this again and again, and recommending it to friends.

Doesn't Really Work
Applied this product, twice, but although the water beads up a bit it doesn't readily shed off the glass so still need to use a squeegee.

So far it seems to really stay on, but ...
